Sweet HB2U!

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news - I've joined the FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenge as a member of their Design Team!

It’s my very first project with the FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenge — and the theme is Anything Food Goes!

I'm so excited to join this fun and unique challenge blog where food-inspired creativity takes center stage. For this challenge, I created a sweet birthday card using digital images from Sweet November!

My design features a cookie sheet full of homemade cookies all colored with Copic markers then fussy cut and assembled on the cookie sheet. A cute and fun birthday vibe perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth, bright color tones and a dash of love straight from the (paper) oven!

Here’s a look at my project:

Whether it's cookies, cakes, fruits, or farm-fresh favorites—if it's food, it fits the challenge! Be sure to check out all the deliciously creative inspiration from the Design Team over on the FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenge blog, then link up your own food-inspired project for a chance to play along!

Birth-Yay My Friend

Christms [OR NOT] Bingo Challenges has a new challenge ready to go for you!

CBC will feature a new Bingo card for each challenge and while this isn't your typical game of BINGO, you are required to use at least three items in ONE column.

We are a "just for fun" challenge where you will have the chance to proudly display our Winner or Top Pick Badge!

My choice was the "B" column - Mini Slimline, Hand Colored Image, Dots and Vellum.

I started by creating the yellow background with Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Oxide Distress Inks and a few sprays of water.  Once dry, I used No Chill and Dart Frog Neon Lunar Paste with my Circle Dot stencil.  The image (Birth-Yay by MFT) was colored with Copics, then fussy cut and foam dots applied to the back.  The sentiment was created by stamping on vellum and laid overtop cardstock fastened with a red brad.

So glad you stopped by and I look forward to seeing your creation!

Birthday Flowerz

Die-cuts/Punches/Stencils is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from Mirtillamente Digital Stamps and Papers!

I used Copic markers to color the image, Flowerz: Flow No. 1.  To create the leafy background, I used Simply You by Concord & 9th with Pine Tree Green Memories Die Inkpad.  The centre background piece was created using the Moroccan Stencil by Simon Says Stamp with Aged Mahogany and Barn Door Distress Inks then found a couple of sentiments, embossed with white embossing power to create this birthday card.

Have a very mice BIRTHDAY

Lots of Layers is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from a NEW sponsor, Streamside Studios!  If you haven't checked the store out yet, make sure you do - so many adorable and fun images to choose from!

The images and sentiment are from the Mice at Play collection. I used the Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the images although  I was having issues with the blade not cutting thru the paper on the mice so I had to do a bit of fussy cutting (which I really don't like doing).  I used distress inks (Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade) on the block of cheese and Copic markers on the mice.  Added a few touches and lots of foam tape to create the layers.

Make sure you check out the amazingly creative creations from our Design Team then it's your turn to start creating!

Treat Yourself

Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenges has a new name and a new challenge ready to go for you!

We will feature a new Bingo card for each challenge and while this isn't your typical game of BINGO, you are required to use at least three items in ONE column.

We are a "just for fun" challenge where you will have the chance to proudly display our Winner or Top Pick Badge!

My choice is the "O" column - Layers, Stitching, Twine and Rectangle.

While roaming through Pinterest looking for a design that "spoke" to me, I came across John, Gentleman Crafter's card using Lawn Fawn's Treat Yourself stamp set.  As it so happens, a co-worker is celebrating her birthday this weekend and she LOVES ice cream so my version of John's card was created, I hope you like it!

So glad you stopped by and I look forward to seeing your creation!

Birthday Balloons

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is MORE THAN ONE FOLD - show us your creativitand put those folds into play!

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

To showcase the many folds, I used a double easel fold to create this birthday card.  I followed Gloria's instructions here and they are easy to follow. The papers are from the Magical Birthday Boy collection by Echo Park and the Birthday Balloons die-cuts are by Pretty Pink Posh.  To create the "Happy" I used a die-cut and ran it thru my Big Shot multiple times and glued them together to create a stack and heat embossed "birthday" on black cardstock and used a banner die-cut.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Get Creative Challenges for some more inspiration from our fabulous Design Team!

Dennis with a Sling Shot

FUN FOLDS is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from StarStampz!

This image is Dennis and is one of my faves as it so reminds me of my boys when they were young.  I used Copics to color the image and set to work on the Dutch Door Fold I found while scanning through Pinterest, Kim Williams has easy to follow instructions here.

I used oval die cuts and patterned paper from Hello Spaceboy collection by Prima Marketing however it's old stock and no longer available. This fun fold is super easy and super quick and will definitely be using this fold again.

Birthday Wishes

Hello all! I'm back with one of my creations using the Happy Birthday Stamps Collection by Kate Hadfield.  This collection is a freebie when you subscribe so make sure you head on over to sign up!

We also have a new freebie scrapbook template this month, Stamped & Stitch and I incorporated the design in my card below.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the image then went to work coloring with Copic markers.  I incorporated Washi tape, buttons and a flower in the design then stamped the sentiment and assembled the card. I would have loved to add glossy accents to the icing however my bottle has disappeared ... sigh.

I hope you have a chance to create a card or scrapbook page with this fab template and make sure to upload it to our gallery!

Go-Kart Fun

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Birthday Wishes.

Our sponsor for this challenge is one and only Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and the lucky winner will receive 2 images of their choice!

Since my hubby is obsessed with go-karts at the moment, I chose to work with GoKart Gordon for this challenge. I decided to make two different cards, one birthday as that's our theme and the second a retirement card.

I came across a sketch at Stick it Down and decided to give it a try. I colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

In support of Ukraine, I used blue and yellow on my first card and matched it with papers from On the Go Collection by Bo Bunny.  For the second card I used papers from the Celebrate Collection by Authentique.

May All Your Wishes Come True

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Birthday wishes!

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Artsy Stamper and the lucky winner will receive one digi set of their choice!

This image is from Beverly's Bakery Stamp Set.   I colored the cake with Copic markers and added glossy accents to the inside.  I used a no-name brand Slimline diecut that included the background pieces as well as the circles.  I added some banner flags across the top and added some gumdrop gems to the centre for dimension.

Ribbon, Rope, Lace

Welcome back for a new challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls.  This month our theme is Ribbon, Rope or Lace, you get to choose!  Our sponsor for this challenge is StarStampz!

This little guy is Dennis, aptly named if you ask me!  You all remember Dennis the Menace, right or am I dating myself?!

I decided to create an ATC since I didn't realize that I printed the image a bit on the smaller side.  I colored Dennis with Copic markers then framed the image with black cardstock.  I added some twine or rope at the top of the image and stamped the sentiment with Versamark onto black cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and set the heat gun to it.

I think he's pretty darn cute!

Monster Truck TIC-TAC-TOE Challenge

Hello one and all! Time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts!  This go-around we have a TIC-TAC-TOE Challenge for you.

Our fabulous sponsor is Jodie from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and the lucky winner will receive two digi images from her store!

Raising two boys meant our house was full of trucks ranging in all shapes and sizes.  I actually took my youngest to a Monster Truck show so when I saw this image Monster Truck I knew I had to have it!

My Tic-Tac-toe choices are Embossing (dry), Image and Sentiment.

No-name Slimline die-cuts were used to create this card and I wish I made the trucks a bit smaller as I originally envisioned 5 trucks on the front however I was able to use the remaining two trucks elsewhere!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the trucks then colored them with Copic markers.  Hillside die-cuts and an embossing folder were used to simulate dirt hills for the trucks to "drive" over.  The two outer trucks were taped flat and the middle truck has a spring backing (see below) so it moves and bounces.

As an afterthought I added the banner flags, this proved a bit more difficult since the two trucks were quite stuck to the paper so I reduced the number of flags. The sentiments are computer generated and as you can see, the last two trucks were used on the envelope as well as on the inside.

I really, really enjoyed making this card and it brought back a lot of memories of a time long ago when my boys were young, loud, dirty, stinky and above all, happy & loved.  Boys rock!

Seahorse Birthday Wishes

Hello!  Today is the day for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Flora & Fauna aka all plant life & all animal life.

Fitting for this challenge is our sponsor Fabrika Fantasy and I received this image to play with, Beautiful Seahorse.

I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated with this image.  The image has more detail that I normally use and I really had no idea where to start.  Once I decided on colors (which is always a challenge for me) I just started coloring with my Copics.  When I was done and had a chance to sit back and study, I felt pretty good with how it turned out and wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.

Now it's your turn to show us your version of Flora & Fauna and I look forward to seeing what you create!

This darlin' image is Party Animal, he looks exhausted from all that party fun! I colored the image using Copic markers and matched the colors with the papers from Surprise! collection by BoBunny.

Smashing Time at Creative Knockouts

Creative Knockouts has another "smashing" challenge ready for you!  Our theme is "Finish the Inside" with Dr. Digi's House of Stamps sponsoring this challenge!

Meet Pinata-Pedro, he's trying so hard to smash that Pinata!  I used the Print & Cut function on my Silhouette Cameo so I didn't have to fussy cut around the images then colored the images with Copic markers.

I decided to make a shaker card to keep up with the festive colors.  Honestly, I dislike making shaker cards but thought I'd give it one more try - still not a fan - I wish the sequence would stay scattered rather than gather at the bottom until shaken.

For the inside, I decided to add another Pinata and switch to the polka-dot paper to give the illusion of sequence.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create!

Graffiti Birthday

A new challenge means a new theme and at Creative Knockouts our theme is Washi Wonders!

Our sponsor for our Washi Challenge is LeAnn's World 101 and the winner will receive two dig stamps of their choice.

I used the Print & Cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo so I didn't have to try and fussy cut.  I colored Clyde with Copic markers and used a white gel pen on to give some accent on his jeans.  The sentiment and splatters were from Scrapper's Delights.

I finally had the time and courage to try stenciling.  I retrieved my brick stencil from the depths of my drawer and selected Frayed Burlap and Barn Door Distress Ink pads.  All in all, it was pretty easy and I like how it came out.  And of course, the finishing touch - double layer of Washi Tape.

Magical Birthday

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is "Something to Say" ... include a sentiment on your creation!

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper  Shelter and the lucky winner will receive 3 images of their choice!

There are so many adorable images to work with, it was hard to choose!  This image is Unicornmania.

Oooh, I had fun making this card.  The papers are actually St. Patrick's Day themed (Lots of Luck Collection by Dooglebug) but the bright colors were too magical not to use!  Three different types of paper designs, polka dot, striped and rainbows.

I used Copic markers to color the image and added a touch of sparkle here and there using my Spica markers.  The banner die cuts are Tiny Banners & Toppers from My Craft Spot.

Make sure you check out the amazingly creative creations from our Design Team then it's your turn to start creating!
