Freesia 4U

Sparkle & Shine is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from SheepSki Designs!

The floral image is Freesia Vase was colored with Copic markers then added a touch of Glossy Accents for some shine.  I decided to use a tag die-cut for the flowers and duplicated the tag with green cardstock for the back layer, tied with sparkly gold ribbon.  For a bit of extra shine, I used pink metallic paper, along with designer paper from the Stitched with Love collection by P13.

Fleece Navidad

DESIGNER PAPER is the theme for our MONTH challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Our challenge will run until April 9th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

I've had this image for so very long and has been printed out just waiting for me to color! I'm very sad that I lost this image from Whimsie Doodles in a computer crash so this is the only copy left.

After coloring with Copics, I pulled out my stash of designer paper and kept the layout simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

I know Spring is around the corner ... but alas I decided on a Christmas card! I used distress inks on the outside of the paper and on the images.  I heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder and added a few sequins. Quick and easy, perfect for multiples.

Bleached Dollies

Christms {or not} Bingo Challenges has a new challenge ready to go for you!

We will feature a new Bingo card for each challenge and while this isn't your typical game of BINGO, you are required to use at least three items in ONE column.

We are a "just for fun" challenge where you will have the chance to proudly display our Winner or Top Pick Badge!

My choice was the "G" column - Embossing, Bleaching, Splatters.

When I saw Bleaching - I had no idea what this technique was so I had to do a little googling - such a simple technique and the effects are so beautiful I had to give it a shot.

I started with distress oxide inks, starting in the middle with Dried Marigold and worked my way to the outside with Abandoned Coral, Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs.  After the background was dry, I stamped the images from the Decorative Dollies collection by Inkadinkado with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I dipped a paint brush in bleach and started "painting" the areas I wanted bleached.  I had such a hard time taking a photo that could capture the effect but it was really difficult to capture.  Some of the areas retained the colors of the distressed inks giving a hue effect.  I wet my hands and clapped over the front then splattered with gold paint. I finished off with a quick overall spray with Sheer Shimmer craft spray and added a few gold embellies.

So glad you stopped by and I look forward to seeing your creation!

Marshmallow Snowman

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Santa and/or Reindeer" - don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along for your chance to proudly display our Winners or Top 3 Badge.

The image is Snowman and Marshmallow from Kinda Cute by Patricia  Alvarez,  I did some coloring with Copics and went to work fussy cutting (grrr, I hate fussy cutting!).  After using a die cut to create the circle, I used Seeing Spots embossing folder for some texture.  Using foam squares, I applied them to the images and sentiment strip (Merry Messages by Lawn Fawn) and finished the card off with some purple sequins.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Birthday Flowerz

Die-cuts/Punches/Stencils is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from Mirtillamente Digital Stamps and Papers!

I used Copic markers to color the image, Flowerz: Flow No. 1.  To create the leafy background, I used Simply You by Concord & 9th with Pine Tree Green Memories Die Inkpad.  The centre background piece was created using the Moroccan Stencil by Simon Says Stamp with Aged Mahogany and Barn Door Distress Inks then found a couple of sentiments, embossed with white embossing power to create this birthday card.

Wintery Penguin Valentine

STENCILS / EMBOSSING FOLDERS is the theme for our February challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Our challenge will run until March 12th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

Yes, we are a Christmas challenge and I may have stretched things a bit with my wintery Valentines Day card!
I started with embossing the first layer using Stitched Snowflake Backdrop by Lawn Fawn and used Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks to create the pinky glow background.  Created some snow drifts, clouds and a skating area with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink - I used the same ink for the sentiment using Scripty Mine and the Winter Penguin stamp by Lawn Fawn.

Have a very mice BIRTHDAY

Lots of Layers is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from a NEW sponsor, Streamside Studios!  If you haven't checked the store out yet, make sure you do - so many adorable and fun images to choose from!

The images and sentiment are from the Mice at Play collection. I used the Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the images although  I was having issues with the blade not cutting thru the paper on the mice so I had to do a bit of fussy cutting (which I really don't like doing).  I used distress inks (Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade) on the block of cheese and Copic markers on the mice.  Added a few touches and lots of foam tape to create the layers.

Glittery Joy

Glitter and Sparkle is the theme for our January challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Our challenge will run until February 8th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

I die cut and added layers (3) to the letters using white cardstock with the top layer cut in designer paper.  I used the mini wreath die cut by Lawn Fawn to cut two layers using green glitter.  I did this to make the wreath look fuller and finished it off with one layer of white cardstock.  The berries were also die cut using red glitter paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Treat Yourself

Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenges has a new name and a new challenge ready to go for you!

We will feature a new Bingo card for each challenge and while this isn't your typical game of BINGO, you are required to use at least three items in ONE column.

We are a "just for fun" challenge where you will have the chance to proudly display our Winner or Top Pick Badge!

My choice is the "O" column - Layers, Stitching, Twine and Rectangle.

While roaming through Pinterest looking for a design that "spoke" to me, I came across John, Gentleman Crafter's card using Lawn Fawn's Treat Yourself stamp set.  As it so happens, a co-worker is celebrating her birthday this weekend and she LOVES ice cream so my version of John's card was created, I hope you like it!

So glad you stopped by and I look forward to seeing your creation!
