Happy Birthday

We have a fun, new template for you to play with at Kate Hadfield Designs!  Not to worry if you don't scrapbook, I had fun integrating the template into my card layout.

I created these cards using a variety of images from the following freebie  collection: Snapshots, Family Matters and Indian Summer.

After coloring the images with Copic markers I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the images.  I used washi tape to create the lines behind the layers with a variety of patterned and plain papers.

Make sure to check out Kate's page to keep up to date on all that's going on, including her shop, gallery and much more!

Hugs & Hisses

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I have been making a few cards to build up my stash.  The cards were made using Snakes in Love by Patricia of Kinda Cute.

I used Copic markers to color the images then went to work trying to find papers that would fit the color schemes.

Since most of my papers are mainly red & pink, I decided to use a heart embossing folder on the turquoise paper and found a matching heart button that I figured was the right embellie for the card.

Enjoy your day!

Nuts and Bolts 4 U

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  For this challenge we want you to use Die-cuts and/or Punches in your creation.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sheepski Designs and the lucky winner will receive three (3) images of their choice!

I chose to work with Bob for this challenge and seeing as we are getting closer and closer to Valentine's Day I decided to create a Valentine's Day card.

I colored Bob with Copic markers and added glossy accents to various parts.  The silver dots are I-Rock Glam Rocks that have adhesive to the back and when you use the I-Rock tool by Imaginisce, it heats the adhesive on the back of the glam rocks.  I have had this tool for years and always forget I have it.

In true fashion, I forgot the theme when creating my card so I had to go back and add banners :)  The background papers are from the Cogsmo Links collection by Cosmo Cricket and the sentiment was computer generated.

Warm Wishes from Kate Hadfield Designs

Here is my first creation for Kate Hadfield Designs and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of her fabulous creative team!

Make sure you visit her shop, there are resources for digital scrapbooking, crafts, doodles & clipart, visit the gallery or blog for inspiration!

This is my first time attempting a Card Box and while I had challenges I think this is a pretty good prototype!  The images are from the Snow Day collection and after coloring the images with Copic  markers I used my Silhouette to cut the images.

Next came the assembly which I will not bore you with (and its just too confusing to write it all down!)
The first layer is white cardstock, second is glitter cardstock and the last from the Snowy Sprigs collection by Echo Park.

The back piece was looking really bare and I was trying to figure out how I was going to stamp a sentiment (since it was already assembled) and what sentiment I should use.  I was browsing through my dies and came across Warm Wishes.  Voila!

I haven't pulled out my scrapbook stuff in ages, but looking through all the goodies in the shop, I think it's time I try digital scrapbooking, you never know what I'll create next month!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

You Color My World

Welcome to our January Sketch Challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls!   The lucky winner will receive a special surprise from our own Claudia and Lisbeth!

Last year I purchased June's Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp and decided to pull it out to create my version of our January sketch. The kit was fabulous, full of stamps, paper, die-cut, stencil and embellies.

I used the rainbow die-cut on the rainbow then used Distress Oxide Inks to blend the colors of the rainbow with mini daubers.  The clouds were stamped on paper that I had distressed blue then fussy cut them out.  The papers were also part of the kit

I used some shimmer mist on the rainbow and clouds and once they were dry I started planning the layout.  A couple of the clouds have pop-dots and the finishing touch was adding some bling to the rainbows.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations!

Ski Bunny

Ready for a new challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges?  Our theme as always is Anything Goes with an optional twist "Winter".

This image is Ski Bunny by My Favorite Things.  I've had this set for so long I actually forgot I had it.  I colored the image with Copic markers then set to work creating the layout.

Now it's your turn to show us your creation.  Make sure you check out our  Design Team for some inspiration.

Christmas Sweater

STENCILLING is the theme for our JANUARY challenge at Christmas Craft Creations

This image is from the Digi stamp set Christmas Sweaters from Kate Hadfield Designs.  This particular sweater is only one image of the nine you will receive - they are awesome, make sure to check them out!

For the background I taped down the Holly Jolly stencil by Photo Play and applied Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink over the stencil.  I cut a piece of vellum with a circle die-cut and after coloring the sweater with Copics, I added pop-dots to the back and positioned the sweater in the centre of the vellum.

The sentiments were from the Merry Christmas collection by Say it with Stamps. I used Versamark and white embossing powder on brown cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Please remember to add our challenge badge (above) to your post for your chance to win!

Nutcrackin' Christmas

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum ... Happy New Year and welcome 2022! I hope you all had a happy and safe holiday.

I'm excited to have created this card for Debbie at Creative Creases Challenge as a Guest Designer.  The theme for Challenge #23 is ATG with a Fun Fold.

The stamp set I used to create this card is Nutcrackers by Avery Elle and I also have the matching die-cuts.  After coloring the images with Copic markers I cut them out using matching die-cuts.

The center circle was made a circle die-cut and colored with Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks then spritzed with some H20.  After assembling the card I decided to add some holly and of course, nuts to crack.

This was a fun card to assemble and thanks Debbie for the opportunity of being a Guest Designer!
