I used Copic markers to color the image and the background papers are from the Be Merry paper pad by Pink & Main.  I love the bright colors of this pad and they fit perfectly with the Pink theme!

I created this card using some of the elements from Penguin Party.  I colored the mage with Copic markers and the DP is from the Candy Cane Lane collection by Bo Bunny.

Wintery Penguin Valentine

STENCILS / EMBOSSING FOLDERS is the theme for our February challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Yes, we are a Christmas challenge and I may have stretched things a bit with my wintery Valentines Day card! 

I started with embossing the first layer using Stitched Snowflake Backdrop by Lawn Fawn and used Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks to create the pinky glow background.  Created some snow drifts, clouds and a skating area with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink - I used the same ink for the sentiment using Scripty Mine and the Winter Penguin stamp by Lawn Fawn.

Meet the Cracker & Treat Box Die-cut by Stampin Up! This is a first for me and all and all it went pretty smoothly.  The dies are easy to work with, all you need is some Christmas paper then let your imagination flow.  These little boxes will be perfect on the plates at Christmas and you could even use them as name cards.

This darling image is Snowball Tree Theo Penguin by Polkadoodles. I colored the image with Copics then went to work on fussy cutting (ugh).  With that out of the way I went to work on creating the background with Wild Honey, Spiced marmalade and seedless Preserves distress inks.  The falling snow was creating using Frosty Snowflakes stencil by Simple Stories and Moonlight Gold Cosmic Shimmer Luna Paste.

Skating Penguin Tags

WINTER ACTIVITIES is the theme for our August challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!   

Our challenge will run until September 13th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

Every year I tell myself that I'm going to make Christmas tags and every year I run out of time and end up using store-bought tags.  Well, not this year my friends ... 

I used Winter Penguin Stamp and Die set by Lawn Fawn to create my first tags of the year.  I used the snowflake stamps with Versamark and white embossing powder to create a "snowy" background and went to work coloring the penguin then put the tags all together and finished them off with some ribbon and twine.

Stacked Penguins at Winter Wonderland

 November Challenge time at Winter Wonderland! With a new challenge comes a new theme and this month our theme is Things with Wings.  

Our sponsor for this challenge is SheepSki Designs and you have to check out their images, definitely one of a kind and so fun to play with.

This image is Stack, even tho these creatures have wings, they are used for swimming and balance which is why they are staked on top of each other!  I used Copic markers to color the image and worked with papers from the Celebrate Winter collection from Echo Papers to create the layout.

Baby It's Cold Outside

Well, that pretty well sums it up in my corner of the world, how about yours?  At Digi Haven it's time for a new challenge and yup, "Baby it's cold outside" is what we want you to portray in your creation.

I have to admit, I love my card!  I think this Winter Penguin Trio by Bugaboo is too darn cute and I loved playing with it. 

The ribbon and papers are from my stash and I added some silver iRock gems and pink rhinestones to the snowflakes as well as glossy accents throughout.  Of course, can't have snow without stickles too!

I created this card with pre-colored image by LOTV.  I framed the image with a square scallop die and the tag sentiment is also by LOTV.  I used a holly embossing folder on the green background and the polka dot paper and ribbon is from my stash.
