2 Colors Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Digi Haven!  Our theme is use "Two Colors".

Our sponsor for this challenge is MyGrafico and they are giving away one stamp set to the winner!  Make sure you check them out, they have a great collection of digital images, as well as a freebies!

The two colors I chose were purple and black, pretty obvious I know!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out this coffin card.  I went through my Hallowe'en stash and found some purple and black netted ribbon as well as the rest of the embellies I used.  For something different, I used some googlie (hmm, is it googley?) eyes for the centre of the flowers and the charm is from The Charm Barn.   The label in the centre is from the Vintage Halloween Labels by MyGrafico.

My Grafico - It's not just for Digital Images, they have a whole sidebar full of wonderful things to enjoy. Grab a cup of coffee and a snack because you will find yourself spending some quality time at My Grafico.

Creatalicious is celebrating school with a the challenge theme of "School Time".  Our sponsor for this challenge is Scrappiness Designs and they will supply the winner of this challenge with a $7 gift certificate for any purchase at their store!

I used the Hey, Robot cards, elements and papers to create this card to welcome back the kidlets to school.  This is my first time with using digital kits and wow, is it ever fun and quick!

For the welcome back tag I used some leftover Creative Memories stickers to spell Welcome back and used some ribbon from my stash and attached them to the tag with colored staples.  The school charm is also from my stash.

Now it's your turn to get your creative juices going, I can hardly wait to see what you create!

STOP It's your Birthday!

It's challenge time again at Cards for Men!  Our theme for this challenge is "String it Up" so add some string to your creation and enter for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate from our sponsor, Digital Delights!

I colored this Digital Delights image with my copic markers to match the paper from the Surprise! Collection by Boy Bunny.  I used my circle embossing folder on the red and blue flags, added some bakers twine, a button and there you  have it!

The colors really look more vibrant that this pic shows!  I colored the image with my Copic Markers then pulled out papers from the Surprise! collection by Bo Bunny and got to work on Kevin's sketch.  I used my circle embossing folder on the flag and corner to add a bit of dimension.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Oh, I struggled with this one!  There were so many possibilities and so many wonderful images from our sponsor, Delicious Doodles.  Once I narrowed my digi choice to Lovey-Dovey Silhouette, I went thru my stash and this is what I came up with:

And the result was this:

I printed the image on some smooth & sparkly white paper the cut it down to fit inside the frame.  I painted the frame white and stuck some black and clear rhinestones on the right side of the frame.  I covered the rest in glass glitter by Stampin Up!  I added white bows and white flowers on the corner and placed some glass diamonds inside.

Let's Float Away

It's challenge time over at Cards for Men and you will have until September 15th to create a tag or add a tag to your creation for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate from our fab sponsor, Fresh Brewed Designs!

That's right, our theme is "Tag It" and our amazing design team has come up with some great creations so make sure you check them out and leave them some love!

I chose to work with this image by Fresh Brewed Designs called Heart Hot Air Balloon.  When I saw this image I immediately thought about some paper I had in my stash, "What's Up" by BasicGrey.  I matched up my Copic markers with the colors in the papers and created a tag with the "let's float away" sticker and added a flag both from the same collection.

Now that I have an image to go with the paper collection, I can hardly wait to make additional cards!

Christmas Fairies

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round has a new challenge theme for September "Christmas Fairies".  There are so many beautiful fairy images to choose from, there is something definitely magical about them!

This image, Winter Fairy Halla, is by Mo Manning. I completely fell in love with this image and when I was putting the card together I was so focused on the image and sparkle I didn't even think about putting a sentiment on the front.  So inside the card it reads, Wishing you Warm Winter Wishes.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and used my clear Spica sparkle marker to add some lines of sparkle, as well as Star Dust Stickles.  The rhinestones were from our local craft store and the paper is from the Powder Mountain collection by Bo Bunny.

Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Things with Wings
