Doily Delight Challenge at Creative Knockouts

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Doily Delight.

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up and the lucky winner will receive 2 images of their choice!

This darling image is Sweetie Pie, how cute is she?!

I happened across some felt doily's in a local craft store and couldn't believe my luck.  I worked around the green and decided on purple as I love the two colors together.  I colored the image with Copic markers and the sentiment was a freebie from Desert Diva.

Healthy & Happy Birthday

A good friend and a great yoga teacher is celebrating her birthday and I'm so excited to be trying out my new stamp set by Penny Black, Love and Yoga.

I used my Copic markers to color the image, embossing folder for some texture and finished it off with purple twine and turquoise sequin.

This is a great stamp set to use when you need to make a quick card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sieze the Birthday - Anything Goes, birthday themed

Creatalicious Challenge - Black & White + one other color

It's challenge time over at Creatalicious Challenges - as always, Anything Goes with a twist ... "black, white and one other color".

Our sponsor for this challenge is Hannah Lynn Art and the lucky winner will receive 2 digi stamps of their choice!

The image I used for this challenge is Tropical Mermaid.

Truth be told, I was a bit overwhelmed when I saw this image as it's so different from what I usually work with.  I saw all the beautiful creations from the Design Team and wondered how on earth I was going to color this gorgeous design.

My first dilemma was choosing the color.  I didn't want to use the same colors at my teammates so I opted for red.  I started with the opinion that I would just give it a shot and if it doesn't work, I'll keep trying.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by my first attempt and decided I didn't need to again.  To highlight the flowers, I used a white gel pen and added some dots along the petals then added some glossy accents to her lips for a bit of dimension.  Copics used: R30, R32, R35, R37, R59.

Creative Knockouts Spring Challenge

Time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is "Spring is on the way".

Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day For Daisies and the lucky winner will receive an $8 voucher to spend at their store!

For this challenge, I chose to work with Lady Bug Delivery.  I love lady bugs and was excited to get started.  I quite often struggle with layouts and the best way to showcase the image.  I came across Vicki's creation and knew I found the perfect layout.

Along with my love of ladybugs, I adore the color red (but it has to be the blue red, not the orange red).  I colored the image with my Copic markers, cut "hello" with my Silhouette Cameo, added some ribbon and sequins.  I used my vine embossing folder (wish I had the ladybug folder like Vicki!) and threw my arms up in surrender - I'm done!
