Based on a Christmas Carol

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Sentiment based on a Christmas Carol" and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along for your chance to proudly display our Winners or Top 3 Badge.

The Twelve Days of Christmas is my chosen carol and Four Calling Birds by Whimsy Stamps definitely fits! I absolute love this image, seriously how much cuter can it be?!

I colored the image with Copic markers except for the pine needles which I used a green felt marker.  I added Wink of Stella on the rim of the Santa hats as well as the snow on the pine branches.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Time Well Spent

"Spring is in the Air" ... that's the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from All Dressed Up!

This sweet image is Feeding the Ducks and as soon as I saw it I thought of Springtime.  After printing the image I used Copic markers to color the image as well as the ground then set to work on the sky using Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink.

With her umbrella in hand, I decided to add a couple of vellum clouds in the sky, you never know when the rain will fall and here in Vancouver, it falls a lot! The sentiment is from the Lucky Friend set by Mama Elephant and the background paper is by Doodlebug.

Make sure you check out the amazingly creative creations from our Design Team then it's your turn to start.

Little Town of Bethlehem

NON-TRADITIONAL COLORS is the theme for our April challenge at Christmas Craft Creations

Our challenge will run until May 7th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

I decided to pull out my metallic watercolors for this challenge while using Peaceful Night by Woodware Craft Collection.

I used silver embossing powder on the white watercolor paper and gold embossing powder on the black watercolor paper then went to work painting.  I have to admit, I love heat embossing this image as it keeps the colors from bleeding (my water coloring skills are definitely lacking precision).

Once dry, I sprayed the cards with Sheer Shimmer Craft spray, Sparkle on the white and Gold on the black then finished it off by using my I-Rock tool (yes, it's old but it still works!) to set some silver gems and gold rhinestones on the black card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Please remember to add our challenge badge (above) to your post for
 your chance to win!
