Let the Good Times Roll

Welcome back! Today I'm sharing my creation for our new challenge at Creatalicious Challenges and until July 15th, our theme is Transport/Travel.

Our own Melanie has donated a special prize for the winner of this challenge, make sure to hop on over to check it out!

This image is one that I have had for many years, it's called Scooter by Kenny K.  Unfortunately this is another artist who closed shop.  I colored Scooter with Copic markers then used my white gel pen on the white lines (where I may have colored over).  I fussy cut the image then added pop dots to the back.

I used the brick stencil to create the background with Aged Mahogany and Fossilized Amber then added the borders at the bottom of the circle and finished it off with a button (ohh, again this embellie is so old).  The sentiment is from Simple Sentiment Strips by Whimsy Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Thumbs up

It's challenge time at Digi Haven and along with a new challenge comes a new theme ... Black, White and 1 other color is the name of the game!

Our fab sponsor for this challenge is Kenny K and the winner will receive 3 digi's of their choice!

Instead of a card I decided to make a gift tag with Thumbs Up Kid by Kenny K.  As you can see, my one color is blue, can't go wrong with boys and blue.  I added some glossy accents here and there, added some bakers twine and a digi ticket I picked up along the way.

Remember to check out the fab creations from our design team then start linking up for a chance to win!

G is for Glitter at ABC Christmas Challenge!

What girl doesn't like to play with glitter?!  Well, this challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge gives you the opportunity to get glitterty...get out your embossing powder, stickles, glitter and start creating.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Kenny K and the winner will receive 3 digis of their choice!

I had fun with Drama Queen by Kenny K and to me, it screams glitter!  I colored her up with my copic markers then added blue glitter to her pants and ping glitter to her top.  I added lace stickles to the trim of her jacket and didn't let it dry before I added pink glitter to her top so the lace stickles also have pink glitter, darn...

Now it's your turn to get down and messy!

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all of your creations! The creator, the artist, the man: Kenny K is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world. His signature style can be seen throughout his various collections of sexy pin-up babes, sweet 'n sassy girls, cool rockin' dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at KennyKDownloads.com.

Heavy Metal Challenge at Cards for Men

Time to break out the metal!  That's right, dig through your embellie stash and find those metal pieces that you've been saving!

Our challenge at Cards for Men is "Heavy Metal".  You will have until August 19th to show us your creations.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Kenny K and the winner will receive 4 digital images of their choice!

This card was created using the pre-colored digi Capt. Locke.  This was my first time using a pre-colored digi and wow, are they fantastic to work with!

I used an embossing folder on the background, my metal piece is the brown bottle cap and the fabric cog was spritzed with ink spray.  The papers are from the Weekend Market Collection by Bo Bunny.

Now hop on over to Cards for Men and get your inspiration linked up!

I'm sure you're all familiar with the wonderful work of Kenny K's Shop but what about the man (and woman) behind those wonderful creations. Take a look here to see their journey, http://www.kennykdownloads.com/about-kenny-and-elena.php

"K" Challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge

It's challenge time at ABC Christmas Challenge!  Our theme for the letter K is "Kept Safe".  I'm sure you are like me and have so many things that I have purchased over time but don't have the heart to use it ... just waiting for that one special card or whatever ... why do we do that?!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Kenny K

This image is Bow by Kenny K.  Now this image is one that I've had for at least a year if not longer... I colored her with my Copic Markers and the paper is from my stash, the title is cut off so I'm not sure where it's from.  So, now for the "K" ... it's the blue tinsel twine from Tim Holtz.  Along with the digi that I've had for at least a year, I've had the tinsel twine for the same amount of time.  It just about killed me to use it ... haa haa, just kidding!

Make sure to head over to ABC Christmas Challenge to look at the fab creations from our talented design team!  Now pull out those items you hold dear to your heart and start using them!

All my Love at Cards for Men

It's all about Love at Cards for Men!  That's right, our challenge is "All My Love" so break out the mushy stuff and show us what you got.

I was having a bit of a dilema with my card, thinking of how I would make it "masculine" but I figured a wedding card really was for both man and wife so while I tried to stay with masculine colors, I did add some feminine touches!

The Kenny K digi that I worked with is called Happy Couple.  I colored it up with my copic markers and added glossy accents to their pearly whites.  I couldn't have a bride without some bling so I added some rhinestones on her tiara and earrings

Our sponsor for this challenge is, of course, Kenny K.  The winner will receive 5 digis of their choice!

I'm sure you're all familiar with the wonderful work of Kenny K's Shop but what about the man (and woman) behind those wonderful creations.  Take a look here to see their journey.
