Birthday Attack!

What boy doesn't like sharks?!  This is on one of my go-to images for boys, maybe because when my son was little he was infatuated with sharks.  He would spout off shark facts, shark names, and all things sharky.

This image is called Got Ya! from Digistamps4Joy.  I'm not overly happy with my copic coloring on this one, I think I overcolored ... note to self for next time.  The image is fastened to the card with an adhesive spring so it jiggles - it's pretty neat if I do say so myself!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheesey Birthday

I made a promise to myself that I would go through all my stamps and start using the ones that I have forgotten about ... this image is one of those promises!

This stamp is part of a set named Giggle Greetings by StampinUp!  I have no idea how long I've had this set but it has never been used until today.  The images are fun and simple making it easy to create a card in a flash.  I colored the image up with my copic markers and used Spellbinders to frame the image, a touch of sequins and I'm done!

You're the Man

I enjoy creating masculine cards so when I get a chance to build my stash of manly cards I get quite excited.    This digi is Gardening Gus by Dr. Digi's.  I own many manly digi stamps from Dr. Digi's, they have such a great selection to choose from!

I colored Gus with my copic markers then added some fun layers with brightly colored paper. I hope this will inspire some of you to start creating those manly cards. Thanks for stopping by!

Summertime Hammock: Creatalicious Challenge #145

It's time for Challenge #145 at Creatalicious Challenges - ANYTHING GOES with optional no square or rectangle card.

I struggled with this one at first, most of the cards I create are square or rectangle!  I did some searching and found this star fold card.  Surprisingly it was pretty easy to put together.  I followed instructions from Crafting with Joanie, click here for her tutorial.

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and I chose to work with Hammock Days. Our summer has been so hot and sunny that a drink in a hammock looked pretty enticing!

Due to the size of the image, I printed off the pre-colored image because I knew I wouldn't be able to see well enough to color such a tiny size!

Now it's your turn to create!  Hop on over to Creatalicous and link up your creation, I look forward to seeing your designs!  Thanks for stopping by.

Creatalicious Challenge # 143

Ready for a new challenge?  Head on over to Creatalicious Challenges for #143 - Anything goes with optional no patterned paper.

I created a number of thank you cards for our volunteers at work congratulating them on a job well done during our Public Service Week.  This one was my fave!

I used an image from Squigglefly (unfortunately they are no longer in business) and colored it up with my Copic markers, added some glossy accents to give the image some dimension.  Staying with the black, white and red theme, I added some buttons and bakers twine.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Now it's your turn!  I want to see your creations so head over to Creatalicious Challenges, leave some love for the talented ladies then link up your creation!  You have a chance to win a $12 voucher from Di's Digi Stamps!

Big Announcement and a Challenge!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!  I am thrilled to announce that I have joined the Creatalicious Challenges Design Team!  It has been a long time since I have been part of a design team and am so excited to get back at it.

My first challenge project with Creatalicious is #141 Anything Goes with optional flowers.  I used a Saturated Canary image and colored her up with my Copic markers.  Since the paper is a bit "busy" I just went with one flower.

Now make sure you head on over to Creatalicious Challenges and browse through the wonderful creations from the design team for inspiration then link up for your chance to win a £15 voucher from Wild Orchid Crafts!

Whoa, it's been too long!

It's time to get posting!  Not that I haven't been creating in the last year, just seems I run out of time to actually do anything with the pics that I take.  There have been so many special people I have created cards for I think it's high time to celebrate them all (again!).

First up is Sherry.  My son and her daughter are together and through them, our friendship has grown.  I cherish the time we spend together, not only do we fill our time and space with laughter, we have great heart-to-hearts.  She is inspirational and you can't help but feel good when she is around.  She is also sexy as heck and I love the pink dress she wears, she looks amazing in it.

This image is from Saturated Canary and colored with Copic Markers.

Happy Valentine's Day

In true fashion, I stayed up way past my bedtime to get these cards finished for today.  Once I get started creating, it's hard for me to stop.  At least this time I had my sugar cookies done earlier in the evening!

The images I worked with are Valentine Punnies by Whimsie Doodles and Fun Foods Idaho Study by Fresh Brewed Designs (unfortunately their website isn't working).  These images are simple and fun to work with, make sure to add them to your stash!

Used glossy accents and pink stickles to add some bling (Make my Monday Challenge)

Manly Amazing

Sometimes creating masculine cards can be daunting, there seems to be an abundance of girly embellishments where masculine embellies are few and far between!  I had this same problem trying to find cute clothes for my baby boys!!

With all that being said, I find less is more when creating those manly cards anyways!!

I bought a pile of digis from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps a while back (and am sad to report that I have since lost them all when my flash drive was corrupted) and I managed to print off a couple of sheets before I lost them all and have now been creating a nice selection of manly cards for my stash.

Meet Run Derek Run. He's a kind ol' chap and was fun to work with.  I colored him up with my Copic markers and added some layers, twine, brad and washi tape to complete the card.  I hope card puts a smile on your face!

Cheers!
