Angels / Anything with Wings

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and keeping busy (crafting!) during this period of self isolation.  I hope our new challenge at Winter Wonderland will motivate you to create something new!

Our challenge this month is "Angels / Things with Wings".  Our sponsor for this challenge is Sherry West Art and the winner of this challenge will receive a special surprise from Sherry!

This image is Merry Christmouse.  So pure, innocent and peaceful.  I colored her up with Copic markers.  The paper is part of the Winter Wonderland Collection by Doodlebug.

I have to share a funny story about this image.  After I printed it off, it sat on my desk for a few days before I started coloring.  While coloring I was looking at the space between her hands and was trying to figure out if it was part of the dress or maybe a heart...I wasn't sure so I colored it as part of her dress.  I finished the coloring and the name of the image came to mind and I thought hmmm, why is it called Christmouse then it hit me - she's holding a mouse!  So, out came the colorless blender and lightened the blue and recolored the tiny mouse grey.  I really need some fresh air!

Men or Mice Challenge

Mmmmmm, time for our "M" challenge of Men or Mice at ABC Christmas Challenge!

We have two fab sponsors for this challenge, Shape EZ (2 templates of your choice) and Sweet Stamp Store ($10 gift certificate), please take a look at what they have offered at the end of this post!

I have to admit that I had to do a bit of searching for a mouse image....I'm glad I did as I found this cute fella by Digi Web Studio.  It comes with 6 adorable Christmas mouse digis.

I used Dad's Tie Flip Card template by Shape EZ and cut it out with my Silhouette and used my banner nesties to add a "tie pin" at the top.  The sentiment "Happy Christmouse" and the inside sentiment are both by Paper Smooches and wish I had used some embossing powder to make the sentiment pop .. unfortunately I didn't have any of the paper left to redo it but I took a close up pic to give you a better look.  The paper is Sugar Plum from the Saint Nick collection by Fancy Pants Designs.

Make sure you head over to ABC Christmas Challenge to check out the creations from our very talented Design Team!

Prize offered to 1 lucky winner is : 2 Shape EZ templates or your choice.

Mom's don't have time to be sick

This I can soooo relate to! I was off "recovering" but having a housefull of boys, I didn't find time for the recovery part ... I had to find time for the laundry, lunches, dinners, homework, pets ...heaven forbid I should lay on the couch and rest...besides, it was taken up by my husband and his "man cold!" - I had to go back to work to get some R & R!
This is my second entry for Bugaboo "Caught a Bug" Challenge and Midnight Madness Challenge #92
