Fancy Folds at Cards for Men

Let's see those folds!  Yup, it's Fancy Fold challenge time at Cards for Men!

We have a fab sponsor for this challenge, Scribbled Kidz and the winner will receive 3 digis of their choice!

I made a gate fold card for this cheeky image "He won't notice". I colored him up with my copics and used some paper from my stash, added some bakers twine then found a naughty/nice button I thought worked perfectly for this image. The inside sentiment is by Stampendous.

Make sure you stop on over to see the creations from our talented Design Team!

Fancy Folds Challenge

It's Challenge time over at Cards for Men and we want to see your Fancy Folds! This challenge is sponsored by Whimsie Doodles!
Whimsie Doodles has generously donated a $10 gift certificate to the winner PLUS you can receive 10% off you next order by entering the discount code CFM10. This special offer expires 30 days from today.
I had fun creating this card - the Gate Fold is one of my faves! With a house of boys, gaming in our house is huge so of course I love this Epic Birthday image by Whimsie Doodles.
I kept the embellies simple with a funky butterfly clip, metal swirly thingy, white iRock gems and glossed the buttons up with Glossy Accents.
I had to try out my new Spellbinder Nestabilities and have to say they are perfect for male cards, so needless to say, I'll be using them quite a bit!

Supplies: Copic markers, butterfly clip, metal swirl, ribbon, iRock gems, Spellbinder Nestabilities, paper from the Generation Tech stack by DCWV

This week I tried a pop-up card, I have to say it was fun to create.
I colored Bat House by Limited Runs with my Copics and added some sparkles to the edges of the cupcake and the bat's eyelids and of course, glossy accents to the little ghosty. I used a purple ribbon and added a Boo charm from the Charm Barn as my sentiment.
Now for the inside ... the spiders are actually glow in the dark and I pierced the butt to push a needle and thread through so I could suspend the spiders to the top of the pop up. Now it's your turn! Make sure you head over to see the very creative projects from the Stamptacular Design Team then get to work on your creations!

It's so Distressing!

For this weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, we want you to create a card or a project using some sort of distressing technique. Ink it, tear it, sand it, scratch it, scrape it…the choice is yours as long as it’s distressed it counts!
You will have from now until midnight (EST) October 15th, 2011 to complete this challenge and post a DIRECT LINK to your submission into our InLinkz in order to be entered into the drawing for this week's fabulous prize donated by:

PRIZE: $20 Gift Certificate
and
PRIZE: Winner’s Choice of TWO Digi Images
I tried my hand at an accordion fold card this week, was it every easy! For a quick card, I recommend this fold. I used one of Elisabeth Bell's images "Lil Lynda's Piano Forte", isn't she adorable!
I colored her with my Copics and of course, can't make a card without Glossy Accents which I applied to her bow, the roses on her pillow, music note on the piano and the dog collar. I used Tim Holtz Distressing Ink, Black Soot to distress the edges.

The sentiment "It's the little things in life that mean the most" is from Ginger's House. I used a black & white frame from Creative Memories, attached some paper flowers inside the frame and there you have it.
Now it's your turn! Make sure you check out the amazing creations from our Stamptacular Sunday Design Team!
