Cutting Down the Christmas Tree at FQ Country Christmas Challenge

FarmQuest Country Christmas Challenge has a brand-new challenge for you to join!

This challenge blog is all about celebrating the cozy, rustic charm of country life during the holidays — think barns, wildlife, snow-covered fields, and all things outdoorsy and festive!

Each challenge is Anything Goes, as long as it captures that country Christmas feel.

We are a just-for-fun challenge, but you could earn our Grand Champion Winner Badge (with a Guest DT invite) or proudly display our Wintery Top 3 Badge on your blog or socials.

I created a card featuring a die-cut truck fitted with a couple of Christmas trees.  I used white glitter paper to create the trees from Bottle Brush Trees dies by Spellbinders (unfortunately it looks like the tree dies are no longer available however this one is similar). The final touch was Sparkle Sheer Shimmer spray over the entire card.

I can’t wait see what you create — and don’t forget to check out the blog for beautiful inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Glistening Snowflakes - Heat Embossing

HEAT EMBOSSING is the theme for our June challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Our challenge will run until July 11th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

I started by applying Versamark to the snowflake tree stamp from the Glistening Snowflakes collection by Simon Says Stamp then sprinkled with white embossing powder and used my heat gun to set.  I pulled out some Distress Inks, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans and played with the colors until I was happy.  After I watered down some white acrylic paint, I used a toothbrush to add some splatter and once dry I sprayed with Sparkle Shimmer Spray and added a few rhinestones.  I ran the Noel die-cut thru ol' Big Shot several times and glued them together to create some height.

C-Tree Snippet

SNIPPETS is the theme for our January challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!   So pull out those scraps of paper, or whatever scraps you can find in your craft room and start creating!

Our challenge will run until February 7th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

Well, first off I have to admit the card in person looks much better than the pic above!

To create the tree, I started with using my Cricut Joy to cut out the triangles and used a square diecut for the tree trunk.  I gathered scraps of cardstock then used Sentiment Strip Dies by Pink & Main to create the rows.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Typewriter Holiday Sentiments collection by Memory Box and then applied foam squares to the back of the tree and placed the tree in the centre of the card.

The tree was decorated with sequins and the star was created using glitter card stock snippet and diecut Inside Out Stitched Starts by MFT.  I sprayed the card with Antique Bronze Mica and  Gold Sheer Shimmer.

Spooky Tree

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is Black and Purple.  Show us your creativity using only those two colors!  You will have until October 31st to add your creation!

I started with using Multi Media Paper and Distress Oxide Inks (Black Soot, Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion) to create the background. After that was done I spritzed with water and when it was dry I used Sheer Simmer spray in Gold.

The stamp set I used is from Darkroom Door called Twisted Tree. I stamped the images in VersaMark with black embossing powder.  To finish it off I added some sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Get Creative Challenges for some inspiration from our fabulous Design Team!
