Monochrome Poinsettias

MONOCHROMATIC is the theme for the October challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!   

Our challenge will run until November 7th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

After using the 3D embossing folder, Perfect Poinsettias by Altenew with black cardstock, I applied silver pigment ink with an embossing brush overtop the design.  I used a "Merry" die-cut on silver paper and to create some dimension, I used the die-cut twice more on black cardstock and glued them together. I stamped "Christmas" from Christmas Words by Impression Obsession with black ink on the same silver paper.  To finish it off I added a couple pieces of matte black sequins.

This is such an easy and fast technique and I'm looking forward to trying this out on different colored cardstock and pigment inks.

Freeze Frame

The temperature keeps getting lower and lower and add in the windchill factor ... brrr, it's too darn cold! Although this Miller Digi from Simply Betty is from the Valentine collection, it works well here on my frosty card!
