Across the Miles

 This month at Winter Wonderland our challenge theme is Winter Sports and our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Dr. Digi House of Stamps.  The lucky winner will receive ### of their choice!

This image is Rescue Squad - gotta love this kinda rescue! I used Copic markers to color the image and matched it with papers from the Welcome Winter Collection by Carta Bella.  I wasn't sure what sentiment to use and happened across this one from Bold Season by Stampendous - I think it's perfect.  Added a few embellies and called it a day!

Christmas Music

Christmas Craft Creations challenge time and our theme this month is Christmas Music.

When I saw the theme, I knew We Three Kings by Dr. Digi would be perfect.

I colored these three kings with Copic markers and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut them out as I hate fussy cutting.  I followed the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and used papers from the Believe collection by Heidi Swapp.  

I had a bit of trouble with my heat embossed sentiment - After I assembled the card, I decided to add a sentiment. I wanted it to stick out so I pulled out my embossing powder.  I couldn't find my paint brush I use to remove loose powder so tried to tap as much as I could - then turned on the heat.  I don't have a craft heat gun, I have a regular heat gun from the hardware store so you have to be careful cause it gets really, really hot.  Well, I was so focused on my crappy tapping job that I didn't see the poor king's hat starting to burn.  Yikes!!  Had to open up the window before the hubby came to check out the burning smell, hahahaha.
