Jolly Decorations

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS is the theme for our December challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Our challenge will run until January 12th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

I love these little characters, Be Jolly from Create a Smile.  I created the backgrounds using various distress inks, spray of water and finished with sheer shimmer spray.  I colored the images with Copic markers, did some fussy cutting, added twine and applied foam squares to the back then went to work assembling the cards - easy peasy!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from Pattie's Creations!

I took the image Ginger Bread Cookie and copied it multiple times in different sizes then went to work coloring with Copic markers.  The black background was created by coloring with the black marker, spritzed with gold shimmer spray.  I used the Merry die-cut on gold as well as two layers of black cardstock to created some dimension.  The word "Christmas" was embossed using gold embossing powder.

Something Die-cut - Joy to the World

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Something Die-Cut" - we want you to include a die-cut somewhere on your card and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along for your chance to proudly display our Winners or Top 3 Badge.

I created this card using die-cuts from Swirly Scribbles by Stampin Up! to create my own kinda wreaths and Double Joy by Poppy Stamps. To create the white frame, I used my Silhouette Cameo and applied with foam tape to the designer paper from the B&W Christmas Collection by Paper Roses Studio and the sentiment was computer generated. To finish it off I added some gemstones.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Fall is in the Air at Creative Knockouts

FALL IS IN THE AIR is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps!

This Cuddly Critter Squirrel was colored with Copic markers then using my fave (ok, not so fave) technique, fussy cutting around the critter.  The background paper is from the Sweater Weather Collection by Lawn Fawn.

The white cardstock was sprayed with Antiqued Bronze mica spray by Tim Holtz then stamped with the sentiment by Lawn Fawn. After putting the layers together I applied foam tape to the back of the cardstock and said cuddly critter and finished it off with a few pieces of sequins.

Make sure you check out the amazingly creative creations from our Design Team then it's your turn to start!

Eat, Drink and Be Tacky

Christms Bingo Challenges has a new challenge ready to go for you!

CBC will feature a new Bingo card for each challenge and while this isn't your typical game of BINGO, you are required to use at least three items in ONE column.

We are a "just for fun" challenge where you will have the chance to proudly display our Winner or Top Pick Badge!

My choice was the "O" column - Layers, Stitching, Twine and Rectangle.

I found this stamp and matching die set, Ugly Sweater Party by PhotoPlay at a craft sale this summer and have been itching to use it since then.  I used Copics to color the images and applied the red background paper (Tulla & Norbert's Christmas Party Collection) to white cardstock and added faux stitching using a white gel pen.  Foam squares were used to mount the sweaters and smaller foam circles for the hats.

So glad you stopped by and I look forward to seeing your creation!

Christmas Crackers & Treats

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Something that's NOT a card" - we want you to show us your Christmas projects and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along for your chance to proudly display our Winners or Top 3 Badge.

Meet the Cracker & Treat Box Die-cut by Stampin Up! This is a first for me and all and all it went pretty smoothly.  The dies are easy to work with, all you need is some Christmas paper then let your imagination flow.  These little boxes will be perfect on the plates at Christmas and you could even use them as name cards.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Monochrome Poinsettias

MONOCHROMATIC is the theme for the October challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!

Our challenge will run until November 7th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

After using the 3D embossing folder, Perfect Poinsettias by Altenew with black cardstock, I applied silver pigment ink with an embossing brush overtop the design.  I used a "Merry" die-cut on silver paper and to create some dimension, I used the die-cut twice more on black cardstock and glued them together. I stamped "Christmas" from Christmas Words by Impression Obsession with black ink on the same silver paper.  To finish it off I added a couple pieces of matte black sequins.

This is such an easy and fast technique and I'm looking forward to trying this out on different colored cardstock and pigment inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Have a Spooky Night

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is PURPLE, BLACK, GREEN and ORANGE.  Show us your creativity using those four colors in your creation!

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

This slimline card was created using Slim Line Have a Spooky Night Word Die by Picket Fence Studios. I started mixing Distress Oxide Inks (Villainous Potion and Spiced Marmalade) on mixed media paper then lined up the die cut and ran it thru my Big Shot machine.  I ran the die through the machine using black paper 3 more times then glued all the layers together.

I sprayed black cardstock with gold shimmer spray then scattered bat die-cuts overtop and ran thru the machine, I did the same with ghost die-cuts on vellum.

The background was created using Black Soot and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide spritzed with water.  When it was dry I gold shimmer spray and black acrylic paint spray overtop then set to work assembling the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Get Creative Challenges for some inspiration from our fabulous Design Team!
