Summer Fun at Creative Knockouts

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Outside Fun and our own Kelly is sponsoring this challenge and the lucky winner will receive a $25 Close to my Heart surprise package!

I pulled out an image that I've had for a long time, Gloria by Mo Manning. I hope this card will bring us some much needed Summer weather our way, I'm tired of all the rain!

I used Copic markers to color the image and added glossy accents along the way.  The papers are scraps from my stash and the sentiment was computer generated.

Scary and Bright Christmas

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Have yourself a merry LITTLE Christmas" - operative word being "little" as in "child". That's right, we want to see Christmas cards made for a child and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.  

We have moved to a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along so you have a chance to proudly display our Winners Badge or Top 3 Badge.

I printed out these adorable creatures, Christmas Monsters by Pretty Grafik Designs and colored them with Copic markers.  I added glossy accents and went through adding some deets with a white gel pen.  The sentiment is computer generated.  Pretty Grafik has 70% off right now, how can one resist?!

Unicorn Swim

Welcome to our Outdoor Sports Challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls!   Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up and the lucky winner will receive 2 dig stamps of their choice!

This adorable image is Unicorn Swim.

I started with creating the background using a stencil called Cellular by Dina Wakley Media and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink.  To get the water effect I used the stencil multiple times in different positions to create the layered effect.  

I used Copic markers to add color to the image which I fussy cut and used foam squares to attach.  Along with the baker's twine, I added a button and sequins along the way.

I chose to work with Viking Gnome digi stamp for this challenge cause he's just so cool and it comes with 3 awesome sentiments!

I used Copic markers to color the image, matching them to the papers from the Twila & Norbert collection by PhotoPlay. I decided to add some "hardware" to the corners using some brads I found in my stash.

Dad, you are ....

Hello all! I'm back with a couple of my creations using images by Kate Hadfield.  Since Father's Day is coming up, I decided to create a couple of cards for the special Dad's out there.

The first card was created using the "We Go Together Extras" Collection.  This collection is a freebie when you subscribe to The Doodle Den, so make sure you head on over to sign up!

The image above actually comes with fries however I just wanted the holder so I could add my own "fries".  I also added the sentiment along the front. For the fries I used my Cricut Joy to trace and cut the sentiments.  

This second card is a quick an easy make, using pre-colored Father's Day Journalers, also a freebie at The Doodle Den,  I used Essential Alphabet Dies from MFT to cut out "My Hero".  I added some foam tape to the back to give it a bit of dimension.

Country Home Christmas

TREES is the theme for our June challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!   

Our challenge will run until July 8th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

The image "Country Home Christmas" is from Power Poppy and I've been itching to use it.

I used Copic markers to color the image and Circle die-cuts were used as well as Swallowtail Tags for the sentiment.

The background papers are from the Winter Collection by Echo Park Paper.

Merry Berry Christmas

This image is Winter Chickadee and I used  Copic markers to color the image.  Instead of using background papers I decided on an embossed background of holly and accented the berries with red pearl dots.  The sentiment is from Holly Berries stamp set by Hero Arts.

Fun Fold with Popsicles

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Fun Folds, ooooh the options are endless!

To create this card I found a couple of cards created by Connie and thought would give it a try.  The popsicle image is only one of the images from the Mini Ice Cream collection. Connie's post is easy to follow and I had no problems other than trying to decide what paper to use.

I used copic markers to color the popsicles and used my Cricut Joy to cut out the scallop rectangle then went to work assembling the pieces. I'm looking forward to playing with this fun fold a bit more with different color papers and patterns.
