Birthday Wishes at Creative Knockouts

It's hard to believe the end of January is around the corner, where has it gone?!

Our last challenge of the month at Creative Knockouts is themed Birthday Wishes.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Hetty Clare and the winner will receive 4, yes FOUR images of their choice!

This darling critter is Cute Birthday Mouse and cute he is!  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I wanted the image to be the focal point without the distraction of other colors so I stuck with white.  I cut the image out and used an embossing folder to create the background and die cut the circle in the centre to create a peekaboo.

Thanks for stopping by!

Prize:  4 images

Challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More - #374 CAS
The Cutie Pie Challenge - #143 Cute, Clean and Simple

Finish the Inside with Creative Knockouts

I'm sitting here at my desk, gazing outside at the beautiful snow and feeling quite peaceful.  While we are not experiencing the deep freeze temperatures like some parts of the Province, for Vancouverites we're freezing!  Coming from a small town up north, my family is used to this weather and I love it, much better than the buckets of rain we normally get this time of year.

With the weather we've been having, it's hard to think about Valentine's Day however I persevered forward for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts.

Our challenge is "Finish the Inside" and our sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps. The winner of this challenge will receive a $6 gift certificate to their store!

I have a soft spot for moose, up north it's not uncommon to see them wandering through the neighborhood so when I saw this image I had to have it.  This is Mortimer the Motivational Moose from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. He's soooo darn cute!  The image comes with two motivational verses plus a blank one to create your own.  Since I wanted to make a Valentine's Day card, I chose "I 💓 U".

Of course, staying with the Valentine's theme, the inside sentiment.

I hope you are all staying warm enough to create and finish those insides!  Have fun!

Prize:  $6 gift certificate

Anything Goes with Optional Snowflake

It's Anything Goes at Creatalicious Challenges and we have a twist for you ... add optional snowflake.  I don't know about your part of the world but in mine, the snowflakes are flying!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Polkadoodles and the lucky winner will receive a £6.75 / US $10 digi voucher!

This cute little image is Invitation, Winnie Winter Celebration.  I colored her up with Copic markers and I hope you can see the "wink" of Stella that I used to add some sparkle.  I also used glossy accents on a few spots to give some dimension.  I changed the balloon flag to read "Happy Birthday", the original image is "You're Invited". I fussy cut the flag and used a foam pop dot to cover the original design.

I cut out the middle circle then used a snowflake embossing folder, it was just too plain without the embossing.  I used foam pop dots on the embossed piece like a peekaboo window to the image.  As a finishing piece, a snowflake.

I look forward to seeing your snowflake creations!  Have fun and stay warm!

Prize: £6.75 / US $10 voucher

Sparkle Time Challenge

Happy New Year! I hope you all are well rested from the holidays and ready to tackle our January Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'!

Our theme for this month is ADD SOME SPARKLE ... who doesn't like a bit of bling?

I purchased Frozen Fellowship stamp last year from Newton's Nook Designs and this is the first time using it. The stamp set includes two sentiments, one is above.  It's a fun set and I really enjoyed playing with it.

I colored the image with Copic markers and added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella brush (I hope you can see the sparkle, it is there - promise!).  I stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink and have to admit this was my second go-around as I forgot how long the ink takes to dry.  The background paper is a snowflake design and thought it was a good match for the image.

I plan to make more of these cards, there are so many color combos to use and can be great to use in a pinch.

Now it's your turn to plan and I look forward to seeing all that glitter and bling!

Little Friends Challenge at Winter Wonderland

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's and now it's time to get back to creating and start building your cards for next Christmas!  Our first challenge of the year at Winter Wonderland is Little Friends....just remember to make sure it's a Christmas Card!

Our sponsor for this Challenge is Wink Wink Ink and their digi stamps are adorable!  Wink Wink Ink is graciously giving the winner of this challenge a $15 gift certificate to spend in their store!

The image I played with is Season's Tweetings, such a sweet image with a darling little robin!  Since pink is one of my fave colors and I have quite a few pieces of pink Christmas themed paper I decided to pull out the pink Copic markers and color it up.  For contrast I used blue background paper and blue baker's twine and button.

Time to pullout your supplies and start creating - I'm excited to see your little friends!

Prize:  $15 gift certificate

Anything Goes at Creative Knockouts

Happy New Year Peeps!  Time to bring in the New Year with an Anything Goes Challenge at Creative Knockouts!

Our amazing sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps! Fellow Canadian and owner, Jodie is graciously providing the winner with a $12 gift certificate to spend in her amazing store!

This cute little fella is from Under the Sea Birthday Set.  So many adorable images it was hard to pick the image to work with.

I colored the image up with Copic markers and added glossy accents to the bubbles.  I used a circle embossing folder as the background and placed some gumdrop gems in the top corner.

Time to break out those supplies for 2020 and get creating!

Prize:  $12 gift certificate
