Get Musical at Get Creative Challenges

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is Sing a Song (musical notes, paper, etc.) Show us your creativity by incorporating music in your creation!

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

I know Spring is around the corner ... but alas I decided on a Christmas card! I used distress inks on the outside of the paper and on the images.  I heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder and added a few sequins. Quick and easy, perfect for multiples.

Stamps:  Wonderland and Grassy Grove, Stampin' Up!
Distress Inks: Antiqued Linen and Frayed Burlap (images)

Christmas Crackers & Treats

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Something that's NOT a card" - we want you to show us your Christmas projects and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along for your chance to proudly display our Winners or Top 3 Badge.

Meet the Cracker & Treat Box Die-cut by Stampin Up! This is a first for me and all and all it went pretty smoothly.  The dies are easy to work with, all you need is some Christmas paper then let your imagination flow.  These little boxes will be perfect on the plates at Christmas and you could even use them as name cards.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Our challenge will run until September 10th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

CAS it is - one stamp was used, the antlers from the Wonderland collection by Stampin Up! and enamel dots were used for the eyes and nose.  I used a snowflake embossing folder for the background and the sentiment was computer generated.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Those Summer Nights

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is SUMMER NIGHTS. We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

On those hot summer nights we often visit a "cool" ice-cream shop just up the road from us, Duke's Fine Ice Cream.  They make the most amazing flavors, one of my faves is Rose Pistachio.  There is always a line up but it's worth the wait!

I came across a fabulous tutorial from Lisa at Lisa's Stamp Studio and I had to try it.  This was my first attempt and since then I have revised it slightly and lengthened the inside flap so the card will stand on its own.

There are a lot of "moving" parts but it came together quite nicely and since the images were strictly done using stamps and inks, it went by fairly quickly.  The stamp set is Share a Milkshake by Stampin Up!

Jingle time at ABC Christmas Challenge

ABC Christmas Challenge in on the letter J ... well it definitely makes me think of Jingle Bells!  That's right, we want to see bells a jingling!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Wild Orchid Crafts and the winner will receive a £10 gift voucher!

I wanted to keep it simple so I made this card using Stampin Up! stamps and die cuts .  First I embossed the white cardstock with Holly embossing folder, used red and white ribbon for color and added a bell with a copper colored safety pin from a tag off my new jeans.  I stamped the gingerbread image with versa mark then covered it with copper embossing powder then heated it up.

Challenges:
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything Goes w/a handmade bow
Stamping Sensations - Embossing and Texture
Sweet Stampin' - Clean and Simple
Totally Paper Crafts - Clean and Simple
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - Gingergread
