Altered Art Challenge and DT Call at Crafting Cafe

Time to broaden your horizons at The Crafting Cafe and try something different by creating an altered art project!  Our sponsor for this challenge is Delicious Doodles.  The winner will receive 4 images of their choice!

The Crafting Cafe is also having a Design Team call.  If you would like to  join this fab team, make sure you at DT after your name when you link up your creation!

Oh, I struggled with this one!  There were so many possibilities and so many wonderful images from our sponsor, Delicious Doodles.  Once I narrowed my digi choice to Lovey-Dovey Silhouette, I went thru my stash and this is what I came up with:

And the result was this:

I printed the image on some smooth & sparkly white paper the cut it down to fit inside the frame.  I painted the frame white and stuck some black and clear rhinestones on the right side of the frame.  I covered the rest in glass glitter by Stampin Up!  I added white bows and white flowers on the corner and placed some glass diamonds inside.

Challenges:
Glitter n Sparkle Challenge - Add a bow
Stamp n Doodle - Wedding
Ink on my Fingers - Birds

Summer's Here at The Crafting Cafe!

It's time for our July challenge at The Crafting Cafe!  Our theme this month is  "Summer's Here!"  I don't know about you but from where I'm from, summer is definitely welcome with open arms!

This digi is Summer Sun Ellen by our sponsor LEJ Designs.  I colored her with my copic markers and decided since she had such a nice tan that a red suit would look quite nice against this paper!  I  added some craft canvas from and found some chipboard cutouts in my stash. The paper is Beach House from the Summer Soiree Collection by Fancy Pants Designs.

Make sure to stop in at The Crafting Cafe for some inspiration from our talented Design Team!

Here Come the Boys Challenge

Hello!  It's Day 9 of our Here Come the Boys monthly challenge at The Crafting Cafe!

I LOVE making masculine cards, I realize that seems to be out of the norm for most but I have more difficulty with frilly & feminine cards!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Delicious Doodles and the lucky winner will receive 4 images of their choice!

I chose to work with Vintage Norton Bike.  I decided not to color to the image myself, rather I formatted the image from black to brown.  The papers are from the Back to Backs collection by Bo Bunny, the tiles are from Tim Holtz and the rest of the embellies are from my stash.

Lady Luck Challenge at The Crafting Cafe

It's Lady Luck challenge time at The Crafting Cafe!  We want to see your creations based on your interpretation of Lady Luck!  Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps!

Sorry the card has a green tinge throughout, I was having issues with my ink spray ... actually it was a huge issue with my ink spray :(

For my interpretation of Lady Luck, I used Margaret for this card and took the word "luck" quite literally.  I colored her up with my copic markers and added some glitter with my spica glitter pens.  The sentiment was from Digi Doodle.  The paper, ribbon, flowers and button is from my stash.

Now it's your turn....I can hardly wait to see what you create!

Let's Celebrate Challenge

It's time to "Celebrate" at The Crafting Cafe.  There are so many reasons to celebrate and we want to see yours!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Sentiments Designs.  The winner will receive 3 digis or 1 stamp, the winner's choice!

This sweet little digi is Lilly.  I had fun coloring her with my Copic markers to match the bright papers from the Surprise! Collection by Bo Bunny.  I added some glossy accents to the flowers for some dimension, strung up some red and yellow ribbon and for some fun, pom poms.

I followed the layout from a very talented lady that I had the pleasure of working with on my very first design team.  Check out Lynn's creation at Creative Crafts by Lynn, it's adorable!

The sentiment, both outside and inside is from Paper Smooches.

Now it's your turn to link your creation up at The Crafting Cafe!

Favorite Color Challenge at The Crafting Cafe

The theme for our March challenge at The Crafting Cafe is "Favorite Color".  For this challenge, I chose PINK

Our sponsor for this challenge is Delicious Doodles and the winner will win 4 digis from the very talented Teri!

I colored Steampunk Fairy by Delicious Doodles with my Copic markers and added a bit of sparkle with my Spica markers.  I made the tag some time ago at a craft class at our local shop, Creative Accents.  I was so excited when I pulled it out and saw it matched!

I did some searching through my craft stash and pulled out the stuff I thought would work on this tag.  This kind of work is completely out of my comfort zone ... I have a hard time with random but I have to say I'm quite excited out the outcome!

Now make sure you head over to The Crafting Cafe and check out the fab creations the Design Team has come up with so far then get creating!!

We've Got Chemistry

As a new member of The Crafting Cafe Design Team, it's time to celebrate with our Anything Goes Challenge!  The Crafting Cafe is a new monthly challenge blog and we have some great designers and sponsors lined up!

It's day 14 of our challenge and for my submission I used The Experiment by LEJ Designs.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and added glossy accents and glitter to the potions.  Being that it's Valentine's Day, I used the sentiment by Kraftin Kimmie and papers from the Love Story Collection by Fancy Pants Designs.  I used an embossing folder on the brown cardstock to add some embossed hearts.

Our sponsor for this challenge is LEJ Designs and the winner will receive 4 digi's of their choice!

Now it's your turn to get creative and enter your project in our challenge!
