Festive Bears

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Festive Bears and/or other Bs is the theme for our June challenge - don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.  

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along for your chance to proudly display our Winners or Top 3 Badge.

This images and sentiment are from the Polar Bear Pals by MFT and were colored with Copic markers and cut out using matching die cuts.  I made a half-circle cut-out in the white cardstock and mounted on designer paper.  I applied foam squares to the images and affixed to the card front, along with some blue gems.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Santa Hats Challenge

How many more sleeps until Santa arrives???? I swear Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year!

If you haven't started already, this challenge at Christmas with the Cuties will get you into the Christmas card spirit!  Our theme for this challenge is "Show us your Santa Hats".  It doesn't have to be the big man himself, just a darling image wearing a Santa hat.

The image below is Benson and Betty.  I want to sigh every time I look at this adorable pair, they are just so darn cute AND they are both wearing Santa Hats!

I colored the duo with Copic markers and used a glitter Spica pen around the hat fur.  The papers are from Lawn Fawn "Rainbow Christmas"  Along with the layers, I added some bling in the corners to finish it off.

Bears, Bears and more Bears

I love this digi, Little Bear this is a hug by Kathryne.  Colored him up with my copic markers, added my fave, glossy accents, some stitching, twine and a button to finish it off.  The papers are from the Carefree collection by Authentique.

Y is for You Make It!

It's challenge time at ABC Christmas Challenge! Our theme for this challenge is YOU make it!  We are looking for homemade embellishments that you have created!

Okay ... ever have an idea that looks great in your mind but when it comes to creating it just doesn't translate?!  With that being said, I give you permission to laugh at my, well ... poinsettia is what I was aiming for!

At least the image is adorable!  I chose Jake Poinsettia to work with, isn't he cute!  The, ahem, poinsetta that I made came from pop can tabs and a whole lot of glue from my glue gun.  Seriously, it makes me laugh every time I look at it!

Winter Wonderland Challenge

Well, it feels like it could be getting close to a Winter Wonderland in our neck of the woods ... I'm hoping the snow will lay off for at least a month!  Don't get me wrong, I love the snow but not too early!

It's time for our monthly challenge at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round and yes, our theme is Winter Wonderland!  Time to show us your creations of winter themes!

This is a LOTV image and is a pre-colored die-cut that I've had for a couple of years already.  They are fantastic to use, especially if you are making multiple cards in a short amount of time.  The red background paper is embossed with my Snow Sledding Winter Words embossing folder by Cuttlebug and the green polkadot paper is from my stash.  I added some red & white baker's twine, along with a sentiment by LOTV.

Under the Tree is the challenge theme at ABC Christmas Challenge!  We want to see your creations of things you would find under your Christmas tree.

I used my Copic markers to color the image in similar colors as the paper.  I added some glossy accents to the hat, tag and his nose.  The papers are from the Wassail Collection, Merry Happy by Basicgrey.  I used a holly embossing folder to emboss the paper behind the image and my fishtale banner dies by MFT and the ribbon is from my stash.
