Naughty or Nice in Blue

Can you believe it's February already?!  With that comes a new challenge at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round!  Our theme for this month is Blue and White.  We have a fab sponsor for this challenge, Sassy Studio!

Doesn't this image have attitude?  This is Snowman Pin Up by Sassy Studios.  Of course I used my blue copic markers then added some blue bling and lace stickles.  I used my snowflake and and border embossing folder for the base of the card then added a white tag layer.

Christmas Stockings at Christmas Cards all year 'Round

December already!? Well, no denying it so let's get on with December's Challenge at CCAY!  Our theme for December is Christmas Stockings.

For my card I used the adorable digi stamp set by From the Heart but unfortunately I don't see it in their shop anymore.  The papaers are from the Merry & Bright Collection by Carta Bella, I love their colors!

I used my copic markers to add some color to the image then some stickles to the stocking and glossy accents to the candy canes.  The stocking embellie is from my stash and thought it quite appropriate for this theme!

Winter Wonderland Challenge

Well, it feels like it could be getting close to a Winter Wonderland in our neck of the woods ... I'm hoping the snow will lay off for at least a month!  Don't get me wrong, I love the snow but not too early!

It's time for our monthly challenge at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round and yes, our theme is Winter Wonderland!  Time to show us your creations of winter themes!

This is a LOTV image and is a pre-colored die-cut that I've had for a couple of years already.  They are fantastic to use, especially if you are making multiple cards in a short amount of time.  The red background paper is embossed with my Snow Sledding Winter Words embossing folder by Cuttlebug and the green polkadot paper is from my stash.  I added some red & white baker's twine, along with a sentiment by LOTV.

Time to get ready for Christmas at CCAY!

Frightening to think Christmas is only 84 days away!  In order to get you "ready" our theme over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round this month is "Getting ready for Christmas!"  We would like to see anything associated with the preparations for Christmas ... baking, decorating, tree trimming, etc.

This challenge is two-fold.  The first challenge is to create one card and for those of you who are ambitious, we have a second challenge where we want you to create a set of 5 cards.  Make sure you check out CCAY Challenge Blog for more details!

I used the image Boughs for the Wreath by Mo Manning.  I colored it up with my Copic markers to match the papers from the First Edition Nordic Christmas collection.

Christmas Fairies

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round has a new challenge theme for September "Christmas Fairies".  There are so many beautiful fairy images to choose from, there is something definitely magical about them!

This image, Winter Fairy Halla, is by Mo Manning. I completely fell in love with this image and when I was putting the card together I was so focused on the image and sparkle I didn't even think about putting a sentiment on the front.  So inside the card it reads, Wishing you Warm Winter Wishes.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and used my clear Spica sparkle marker to add some lines of sparkle, as well as Star Dust Stickles.  The rhinestones were from our local craft store and the paper is from the Powder Mountain collection by Bo Bunny.

It's all about Santa Challenge

I'm excited to announce that I am a new member of the Christmas Cards All Year 'Round Design Team! 

The theme for this month's challenge is "It's all about Santa".   That means we want to see anything that is associated with Santa like sleighs, elves, reindeer, etc.

For my card I used this adorable stamp that I've had in my collection for over a year and have never used.  I love the expression on her face and the sentiment that goes along with it!   The image is Amanda saw Santa Clause and sentiment stamps are from Eat Cake Graphics.   The paper is from the Merry & Bright collection by Carta Bella.
