Creatalicious Challenge - Black & White + one other color

It's challenge time over at Creatalicious Challenges - as always, Anything Goes with a twist ... "black, white and one other color".

Our sponsor for this challenge is Hannah Lynn Art and the lucky winner will receive 2 digi stamps of their choice!

The image I used for this challenge is Tropical Mermaid.

Truth be told, I was a bit overwhelmed when I saw this image as it's so different from what I usually work with.  I saw all the beautiful creations from the Design Team and wondered how on earth I was going to color this gorgeous design.

My first dilemma was choosing the color.  I didn't want to use the same colors at my teammates so I opted for red.  I started with the opinion that I would just give it a shot and if it doesn't work, I'll keep trying.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by my first attempt and decided I didn't need to again.  To highlight the flowers, I used a white gel pen and added some dots along the petals then added some glossy accents to her lips for a bit of dimension.  Copics used: R30, R32, R35, R37, R59.

Before you start creating, make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Knockouts Spring Challenge

Time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is "Spring is on the way".

Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day For Daisies and the lucky winner will receive an $8 voucher to spend at their store!

For this challenge, I chose to work with Lady Bug Delivery.  I love lady bugs and was excited to get started.  I quite often struggle with layouts and the best way to showcase the image.  I came across Vicki's creation and knew I found the perfect layout.

Along with my love of ladybugs, I adore the color red (but it has to be the blue red, not the orange red).  I colored the image with my Copic markers, cut "hello" with my Silhouette Cameo, added some ribbon and sequins.  I used my vine embossing folder (wish I had the ladybug folder like Vicki!) and threw my arms up in surrender - I'm done!

Outside Fun at Creative Knockouts

Challenge #291

With our weather in British Columbia, Canada getting warmer, it's time to do some spring cleaning on the ol' RV to get ready for some outside fun!

You will have until April 3rd to link up your creation  at Creative Knockouts for a chance to win an amazing prize of a $10 gift certificate from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.

This image from Sweet N Sassy Stamps is Camper.  It comes with two wonderful sentiments, one of which I included on the inside of my card "Not all who wander are lost".

I thought the arrow background paper was appropriate for "wandering" so I colored the image with Copic markers to match the papers.  I added some texture with embossing folders and free stamped the sentiment "happy trails" onto a yellow tag.

There are so many ways to have fun outside so start creating and show us your way!

Prize:  $10 gift certificate to their store

Yoga Joy

A friend of mine asked me to make a yoga card with "joy" incorporated into the card, I think she'll be happy with this.

I searched high and low for the perfect yoga image and found this image at Mo's Digital Pencil.  I think it's such a peaceful image.

I colored her up with my Copic markers and decided to go with a more earthy tone in colors.  I added a touch of orange ribbon and attached some "joy" to it and for a bit of bling, some gold sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges:
Aud Sentiments - BINGO (ribbon, digi stamp, die cuts)
Alphabet Challenge - X for Xtra Bling (sequins)
