Dad, you are ....

Hello all! I'm back with a couple of my creations using images by Kate Hadfield.  Since Father's Day is coming up, I decided to create a couple of cards for the special Dad's out there.

The first card was created using the "We Go Together Extras" Collection.  This collection is a freebie when you subscribe to The Doodle Den, so make sure you head on over to sign up!

The image above actually comes with fries however I just wanted the holder so I could add my own "fries".  I also added the sentiment along the front. For the fries I used my Cricut Joy to trace and cut the sentiments.  

This second card is a quick an easy make, using pre-colored Father's Day Journalers, also a freebie at The Doodle Den,  I used Essential Alphabet Dies from MFT to cut out "My Hero".  I added some foam tape to the back to give it a bit of dimension.

Manly Amazing

Sometimes creating masculine cards can be daunting, there seems to be an abundance of girly embellishments where masculine embellies are few and far between!  I had this same problem trying to find cute clothes for my baby boys!!

With all that being said, I find less is more when creating those manly cards anyways!!

I bought a pile of digis from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps a while back (and am sad to report that I have since lost them all when my flash drive was corrupted) and I managed to print off a couple of sheets before I lost them all and have now been creating a nice selection of manly cards for my stash.

Meet Run Derek Run. He's a kind ol' chap and was fun to work with.  I colored him up with my Copic markers and added some layers, twine, brad and washi tape to complete the card.  I hope card puts a smile on your face!

Dad, You're the Best!

Time to celebrate that special Dad in your life!  They will be proudly sporting those ties, socks, bathrobes, hats and playing with their new sporting gear and tools!

This image is BBQ Bill from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.  My poor hubby has the same look on his face very time he tries to barbeque.  The boys and I have come to realize that no matter how hard he tries, everything will be well done.

Dad Challenge at Cards for Men

It's time for Challenge #11 at Cards for Men!  Our theme for this challenge is "Dad".  You have until June 9th to link up your creation for a chance to win 2 digis from our sponsor, Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

I love making guy cards and Dr. Digi's is an awesome place to find guy stuff.  This digi is BBQ Bill and I colored him up with my copic markers.  The black background paper is from my stash and the red paper is BBQ Words by Pebbles Inc.  The hot dog embellie came with the BBQ Words paper pack and I added some twine and a computer generated sentiment.  Voila!
