Be Warm - Be Cozy - Be Merry

  A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is CHRISTMAS IN JULY - seriously, it's really six months to December!

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

I made these cards in multiples, they are so quick and easy to make and assemble.  The stamps I used are from the Snowhaven collection by Close to my Heart.  I used Versamark to stamp the images on cardstock, sprinkled white embossing powder overtop and set with heat gun.  I attached a strip of ribbon below the trees and I'm done!

Summer Fun at Creative Knockouts

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Outside Fun and our own Kelly is sponsoring this challenge and the lucky winner will receive a $25 Close to my Heart surprise package!

I pulled out an image that I've had for a long time, Gloria by Mo Manning. I hope this card will bring us some much needed Summer weather our way, I'm tired of all the rain!

I used Copic markers to color the image and added glossy accents along the way.  The papers are scraps from my stash and the sentiment was computer generated.

Sketched Flowers

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Embossing Delight - heat or dry embossing, the choice is yours!

I recently purchased a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, it's called Sketched Flowers. It comes with this beautiful flower bouquet as well as single stamps and sentiments, it's a lovely set.

Now I'm a Copic girl at heart but for this card I decided to try using watercolors.  I used Versa Mark then stamped the image onto watercolor paper.  I sprinkled gold embossing powder all over the card then used my heat gun to set the powder then I started painting. I have to admit it was easier that I had expected although the images are not small and intricate. 

To finish it off I sprayed the face of the card with Metallic Gold spray - overall I'm really happy with the results and had fun with my watercolors.
