Underwear for Christmas?!

Well hellooooo! Today is a new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is Anything Cute and Christmas with Optional Ribbons & Bows.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge are our friends over at Crafty Ribbons!  Crafty Ribbons has an amazing selection and it's so much fun going through their collection of goodies!

I pulled out an old fave image of mine from Whimsie Doodles (so sad they are no longer) appropriately called "Underwear for Christmas".

I used Copic markers to color the undies and used my new Stitched Collage Frame Diecut to put the card all together.  It's the first time I used the diecut and have to admit it took me a while to play with it to figure out how I wanted to use it.  Now that I have the hang of it I've made quite a few cards with the template.

I hope my card gives you a chuckle!  Thanks for stopping in and I look forward to seeing your cute creations!

Happy Valentine's Day

In true fashion, I stayed up way past my bedtime to get these cards finished for today.  Once I get started creating, it's hard for me to stop.  At least this time I had my sugar cookies done earlier in the evening!

The images I worked with are Valentine Punnies by Whimsie Doodles and Fun Foods Idaho Study by Fresh Brewed Designs (unfortunately their website isn't working).  These images are simple and fun to work with, make sure to add them to your stash!

Used glossy accents and pink stickles to add some bling (Make my Monday Challenge)

Love 'em at work

Yes, it truly has been over a year since I have posted, yikes where has the time gone?  So many changes in the last year, one being location which unfortunately doesn't give me room for my crafting!  I truly hate cleaning up after a day of crafting only to have to pull it out and start all over again.  Okay, enough of my whining ...

I work with an amazing group of gals and I wanted to give them something special to celebrate Valentine's Day.  I put on my baking hat and whipped up a batch of sugar cookies and while they were baking, I started card creating.  I wanted something clean and simple so I used these mini-valentine images by Whimsie Doodles.  Apologies for the rough looking pictures, forgot to take pics at home with a nice background so I had to quickly snap them at work.

They were quick and fun to create and they looked adorable with the bagged sugar cookies.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully it won't be another year before I post again!

Jolly Ol' Elf

The letter J at ABC Christmas Challenge means "Jolly Ol' Elf"  time.  For this challenge we want to see your "helper" elf creations or the one and only Jolly Ol' Elf himself, Santa.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Wild Orchid Crafts and  one lucky winner will receive a £10 gift voucher!

For my creation, I used Inner Elf by Whimsie Doodles.  What's a jolly ol' elf without elf shoes?!  I kept the color scheme simple and bright with a touch of stickles and glossy accents.  Finished the card off with a nice big orange ribbon, pink button and a Christmas tree charm.

Now it's your turn to show us your Elf side!  Make sure to drop by ABC Christmas Challenge and take a look at the fab creations from our Design Team then get your Elf on!

Easter with a twist at Digi Haven

It's challenge time at Digi Haven and we're getting ready for Easter!  We want to see your Easter creations and here's the twist ... you must include the color brown in your creation!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Di's Digital Designs and the winner will receive 3 digis of their choice!

I have had this image for years and have never used it ... why I have no idea cause it cracks me up!  This image is Bunny Break by Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet.  I colored it up with  my copic markers and added some glossy accents along the way.  The sentiment is from the Easter sentiment collection by Whimsie Doodles.

Now it's your turn to get your Easter and and don't forget to add some brown!

Di's Digital Downloads have something for everyone.  They even have a wonderful Gallery for enjoyment and inspiration.  If you want a chance to win something from the store, join in on one of their challenges on their Challenge Blog.

I had fun creating this card - the Gate Fold is one of my faves! With a house of boys, gaming in our house is huge so of course I love this Epic Birthday image by Whimsie Doodles.
I kept the embellies simple with a funky butterfly clip, metal swirly thingy, white iRock gems and glossed the buttons up with Glossy Accents.
I had to try out my new Spellbinder Nestabilities and have to say they are perfect for male cards, so needless to say, I'll be using them quite a bit!

Christmas Undies

Oh my gosh, my first Christmas card of the year! I love this image and sentiment from Whimsie Doodles. Just for the record, I never get undies 'cause I sooo Believe!
For something new, I finally tried out my Smooch Spritz by SU on the sentiment and undies, it was really easy to use and I really like the effect. I also used "Funky Little Christmas " digital paper from Funky Hand.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Bah Humbug "Something New"
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long "Non traditional colors"
Delightful Inspiration "Anything Goes"
Totally Papercrafts "Christmas in August"
