Summer Fun at Creative Knockouts

We're back with a brand-new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

It's time for our Summer Fun challenge! Whether it's sunshine, beaches, flowers, or vacations, we'd love to see how summer inspires your crafty creation. Grab your supplies and get crafting!

For me, summer is full of bright colors and fancy drinks which is why I chose to work with Enjoy Summer!

I colored the image with Copic markers using bright color combos.  I decided not to use any designer papers as I thought it was colorful enough, especially once I added some playful elements from Happy Hibiscus and Tropical Leaves die-cuts by Lawn Fawn.

Sunbathing Snowman

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Frosty the Snowman was a jolly ..." - operative word being "Snowman" so we want you to include a snowman somewhere on your card and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.  

We have moved to a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along so you have a chance to proudly display our Winners Badge or Top 3 Badge.

This image is Snowman Sunbathing by Kinda Cute.  It's such a cute image and I've had it for a while but have always been stumped on how I was going to use it.  I thought about layers of tropical Christmas paper but it just wasn't working for me so I decided to go simple and I love it!

I started by creating a beach background with Distress Oxide Inks using the following:

• Sand: Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge and Frayed Burlap
• Water: Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean
• Sky: Squeezed Lemonade,  Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral

I stamped the sentiment using the Merry Christmas set by Say it with Stamps then I fussy cut the snowman and applied some foam strips to the back.  I thought the sky was missing something so I added some clouds using die-cuts by Paper Roses.

Wild About You

 It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is CELEBRATIONS!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sheepski Design and the lucky winner will receive 3 digis of their choice!

This "wild" image from SheepSki Designs is called Tropical and my celebration is "love".  I colored the image with Copic makrers then used the Tropical Leaves stencil by Lawn Fawn to create the background with Distress Oxide Inks then sprayed with some shimmer spray.

The sentiment was made using Wild About You die by Hello Bluebird.  I used the die several times with just white cardstock to add layers to the top layer created using patterned paper from the Itsy Bitsy Spider collection by Piggy Tales.

Santi Beaches and Patterned Paper

Patterned Paper is the theme for our July challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!   

Our challenge will run until July 12th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

The very first Design Team I worked with was Dude Time Doodles (unfortunately no longer operating) and they created some very funny and unique images and this one is no exception.  The image is Santi Beaches and is one of my faves.  

I colored Santi with Copic markers and added glossy accents and Nuvo glitter drops on various parts of the image.  I found this patterned paper Santa Vacation on Etsy by Pretty Grafik.
