New Challenge at Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenge - May 1 to June 15

Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenges has a brand-new challenge ready for you!

Each challenge, CBC features a fresh Bingo card filled with fun and creative prompts - and while it's not your typical game of BINGO, the rules are simple:

Choose at least three items from ONE column and include them in your project.

This is a just-for-fun challenge, but it's a great way to get inspired - and you could earn a Winner or Top Pick Badge to proudly display on your bog or socials!

For my first project, I picked the "I" column, which includes the following elements: 1 Layer Card- Green - Stamped Text - Ink Blending

My second card was created using the "O" column, which includes the following elements: Mini-slimline - Stripes - Metal - Vellum

I started with embossing white cardstock with Crochet Mandala embossing folder and placed yellow striped paper overtop and layered with vellum.  The die cuts are Stitched Flower Frame by Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is Bold Blooms from Concord & 9th.  The metal accent is a paperclip with an added pink tassle.

I had so much fun working with these elements - they really pushed my creativity!

Visit the Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenges blog to check out the full BINGO card and get inspired by the Design Team's creations. Then it's your turn - we can't wait to see what you make!

Happy crafting!

CAS Floral

Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenges has a brand-new challenge ready for you!

Each challenge, CBC features a fresh Bingo card filled with fun and creative prompts - and while it's not your typical game of BINGO, the rules are simple:

Choose at least three items from ONE column and include them in your project.

This is a just-for-fun challenge, but it's a great way to get inspired - and you could earn a Winner or Top Pick Badge to proudly display on your bog or socials!

For my project, I picked the "N" column, which includes:

  • CAS Style - Enamel Dot - Embossing - Floral Image

I had so much fun working with these elements - they really pushed my creativity!

I started with tearing a piece of cardstock to create a peek-a-boo panel then used an embossing folder to emboss a few places along the edges.

After tearing a page from a book, I crumpled it up then used Frayed Burlap and Faded Jeans distress ink along the folds and edges. Before attaching the book page to the back of the cardstock, Frayed Burlap was applied along the edges and front of the torn cardstock.

The flower stamp is from Pretty Petals collection by Simon Says Stamp, stamped with Frayed Burlap and added a touch of color with pencils. I also applied Texture 3 stamp by Lavinia on a few areas, again inked with Frayed Burlap.  To finish it off, I added a blue enamel dot and twine.

Visit the Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenges blog to check out the full BINGO card and get inspired by the Design Team's creations. Then it's your turn - we can't wait to see what you make!

Happy crafting!

Arty Divas Challenge

Good day everyone! Not only do I have news on a new challenge at Arty Divas, I'm super excited to announce that I am now a new member of their Design Team so make sure to check us out!

As always, the theme at Arty Divas is Anything Goes and our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is My Besties and they have generously donated a special prize for the winner.

I love this whimsical image and I wanted to keep it CAS.  I cropped the image at the crease of the card and I wish I didn't crop it and had the last flower hang over the back of the card. Guess I'll just have to make more!

I used Stampin' Up! markers to add a bit of color and the birthday sentiment was computer generated.  I added Wink of Stella to the tips and centre of the flowers.  This is the perfect image to use when you don't have a lot of time.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you join us, I'd love to see your creation!

Flowers Challenge at Digi Haven

I'm excited to announce that this is my first entry as a new member of the Digi Haven Design Team!  Make sure to visit their blog and be prepared to have some fun!

"Flowers" is the theme of our challenge and our sponsor is Floppy Latte's Digital Designs.  The winner will receive a $6 gift certificate!

This image is Floral Corner Arrangement I and can be found here.  I colored the image with my copic markers, I decided to use the purple and green combo (one of my faves).  I embossed the background with a Sizzix embossing folder and framed it, and the image with purple.  Added a ribbon from my stash and the sentiment is digital but unfortunately I'm not sure where it came from.

Now make sure you head over to Digi Haven to check out the great collection of cards from the talented Design Team!

Grab a cuppa and head on over to Floppy Latte's!

Buttons Challenge at Stamptacular Sunday!

Our theme this week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is "Cute as a Button". You have until March 24th to create something with buttons. Make sure to let us know how many buttons you used cause we'll enter your name once for every button used! I pulled out my rubber stamps and used "All Wrapped Up" by Stampin' Up! I did some coloring and shading with my Copics, distressed the edges, then added some buttons, flowers, pearls and a Trinket by Bo Bunny. The paper is from the 6x6 Lost & Found Two paper pack by My Mind's Eye.

Mom's don't have time to be sick

This I can soooo relate to! I was off "recovering" but having a housefull of boys, I didn't find time for the recovery part ... I had to find time for the laundry, lunches, dinners, homework, pets ...heaven forbid I should lay on the couch and rest...besides, it was taken up by my husband and his "man cold!" - I had to go back to work to get some R & R!
This is my second entry for Bugaboo "Caught a Bug" Challenge and Midnight Madness Challenge #92
