Little Town of Bethlehem

NON-TRADITIONAL COLORS is the theme for our April challenge at Christmas Craft Creations

Our challenge will run until May 7th so make sure to upload your creation by then for your chance to win a special prize.

I decided to pull out my metallic watercolors for this challenge while using Peaceful Night by Woodware Craft Collection.

I used silver embossing powder on the white watercolor paper and gold embossing powder on the black watercolor paper then went to work painting.  I have to admit, I love heat embossing this image as it keeps the colors from bleeding (my water coloring skills are definitely lacking precision).

Once dry, I sprayed the cards with Sheer Shimmer Craft spray, Sparkle on the white and Gold on the black then finished it off by using my I-Rock tool (yes, it's old but it still works!) to set some silver gems and gold rhinestones on the black card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Please remember to add our challenge badge (above) to your post for
 your chance to win!

Holy Night

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Silent Night, Holy Night" - operative word being "Holy" so we want you to feature a Nativity Scene on your card and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed.

We have moved to a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along so you have a chance to proudly display our Winners Badge or Top 3 Badge.

This image was created using Peaceful Night by Woodware Stamps.  I stamped the image with Versamark and set with black embossing powder and heat gun.  This time around I colored the image with watercolors instead of Copics.  I added some white and gold twine to the top and used gold cardstock for the backing.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!
