I chose to work with Brighten the Holidays for this challenge.

I colored this adorable duo with Copic markers and in keeping with the Cheery and Bright sentiment, I chose papers from Tulla & Norbert's Christmas Party Collection by PhotoPlay.  I hope this card brightened your day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Life is like Bubble Gum

Good day peeps! A new challenge is among us at Creative Knockouts  with a theme of Die-cuts and/or Punches.

I had fun with this Bubblegum Machine image and I love the sentiment too!  I used Copic markers to color the image as well as a white gel pen to finish it off.  Next was to start hole punching various colors to simulate the gumballs.  The embossed background was made using Thatched Slimline Embossing Folder from Whimsy Stamps.

What's the Buzz?

 Spring has sprung here in beautiful British Columbia, the cherry blossoms are ... blossoming, the birds are singing, bees are buzzing and the rain is pouring, ugh.

Well, there is no rain in the forecast for our "Spring is in the Air" Challenge at  Creative Knockouts!  Our fab sponsor for our Spring challenge is Jan's Digi Stamps!

This image is from the Honey Bees collection, I really, really love this image.  I colored the image with Copic markers however I didn't color the bees as I didn't want to take away from the yellow in the beehive but I did add Wink of Stella which is difficult to see in the picture.  The sentiment is computer generated.  Kept the embellies simple with two flowers and a button.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Tic-Tac-Toe is the name of our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!  This should get your creative juices flowing!  Using the board below, you get to choose a straight line, diagonal like or even the whole thing!

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Jan's Digi Stamps!  The image and the sentiment "A big birthday hug for you" used inside is from the Birthday Buddies collection.

I colored the image with Copics then fussy cut the image.  I opted for a straight line of Embossing, Image and Sentiment and got to work on the layout.  Of course, which seems quite common for me, I get creating and forget about the Tic-Tac-Toe ... this time I forgot about embossing.  So, that's where the embossed circles come in!  I used my polka dot embossing folder and circle punches then attached them to the card - TIC-TAC-TOE!  

Now strap on those creative caps and start playing the game!

Summer R & R

Is summer around the corner??  If I had to base it on the weather we've been having here in British Columbia lately, I'd say we're a long way off!

Nevertheless, one can hope!  Our new challenge at Creative Knockouts should help with those positive summer vibes because we want you to showcase some Summer Fun!

Our lovely sponsor Jan from Jan's Digi Stamps has quite a collection of summertime images and the one chose to work with is this lawn chair from the Alone Together collection.

One of my fave summertime things to do is to relax in our chairs with friends and a glass of wine (or two).

I started by duplicating the image and added a computer generated sentiment (I saw this sentiment in another of Jan's collections).  I colored it with Copic markers to match the background papers from Summer Fresh Collection by Simple Stories.

Button, Button who's got the Button

Yup, you guessed it, Creative Knockouts is having a "Button" Challenge!  Buttons are a great embellies to add to any creation, they come in so many shapes, sizes and colors so have fun!

This image is from the  Shower of Tulips Collection and it's a perfect Springtime image.

I used Copic markers to color the image and in keeping with the splash of red, I used red and white baker's twine and red buttons.  I also added some glossy accents to the bow and some tulips.

Recipe Challenge at Creative Knockouts

A recipe challenge, how fun is that!! This should get your creative juices flowing quite nicely.  Our Creative Knockouts recipe is:

• 1 image
• 1 sentiment
• 2 different patterned papers
• 3 embellies (all 3 the same or all 3 different)

The image I used is part of the Glasses Collection.  This collection includes 1 color drawing (PNG), 6 black and white drawings (PNG) and 3 sentiments (PNG).

For both of these cards I used my heart die cuts and did some layering with the hearts and 2 patterned papers.  For the embellies, the top card used 3 silver brads and the bottom card, 3 buttons.
