Noah's Ark Welcome

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges! We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

Our theme this month is "Inspired by a Book".  I think it's obvious that my book is Noah's Ark and this image is from the Better Together collection by MFT (no longer available).

After coloring the image with Copic markers I went to work creating the background using Hero Arts Cling Zag Background Stamp with distressed oxide inks.

I used VersaMark on the background stamp then heat set white embossing powder and went to work blending Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold (#1) and Dried Marigold and Cracked Pistachio (#2) Distress Oxide Inks then sprayed with Gold Sheer Shimmer craft spray.

I assembled the card, framing the distressed background with a white frame made with my Cricut Joy, used pop dots on the image, added a sentiment, clouds embossed with Silver and some sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Get Creative Challenges for some inspiration from our fabulous Design Team!

Sweet Little Baby Hyppo

"SOMETHING TO SAY" is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts!

We have a fabulous sponsor so make sure to upload your creation for your chance to win a special prize from Mirtillamente Digital Stamps and Papers!

I used the Almost Cute: Hyppo image to create this baby card. I colored the image with Copic markers and decided to use Blueprints 31 Die-namics by MFT to create the layout.  The sentiment was created using the Baby stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps and the papers are from the Welcome Baby Girl collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

Make sure you check out the amazingly creative creations from our Design Team then it's your turn to start creating!

Welcome - Two Meanings

Not only did I create a card to welcome a new arrival, I've been welcomed into a new design team, Creative Sketchy Girls!  I'm excited to be a part of this amazing team and to get my creativity flowing with some fun sketches they have planned throughout the year - I hope you join in the fun!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sheepski Designs and this darling little image is Little Heart.  I used Copic markers to color the image and used Spellbinders to create the ovals, regular and scallop.  To create the layout, the papers I used are from It's a Boy from Carta Bella.

If you follow my posts, you'll know I don't really like making shaker cards but I decided to give it another shot.  One of my pet peeves is that the elements inside always fall to the bottom and to me the effect is lost.  This time I added some clear glue on the paper so some of the sequins would stay in place.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you join us for our Sketch challenge, I look forward to seeing your creations!

A Baby is Born Challenge at The Crafting Cafe

It's time for a new theme this month at The Crafting Cafe - A baby is born!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps and the winner will receive 7 digis, that's right SEVEN digis of their choice!

My card was created using Baby Bundle Heart by Bugaboo.  I used my copic markers to color this adorable image then pulled out some paper from my stash, added layers & buttons for a quick and simple card.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

There are so many beautiful baby images out there, I can hardly wait to see what you create!  Make sure to link your creation up here at The Crafting Cafe!

Sweet Baby

This little darlin' digi is by Meljen's Design. In my stockpile of stuff, I found this tag shaped accordian fold thingy that I tried to do something with but failed miserably. So, I ripped it apart and decided to make individual cards - worked like a charm!
This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Meljen's Design #48 "U R Such an Animal"
Lollipop Crafts Challenge #29 - "Critters"
