SLIMLINE is the theme for our March challenge at Christmas Craft Creations!
The stamp set I used for my Slimline Card is called Let it Snow by Avery Elle. While I'm not overly happy with the results of the embossed trees, I do love the stamp.
The background was created by using Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Saltwater Taffy and Squeezed Lemonade and followed up with Ranger Texture Paste and Snow Flurry stencil by Talyored Expressions.
This was my second attempt on embossing it still didn't turn out right. I tried using white pigment ink and white embossing powder then just Versamark and white embossing powder, even stamping it twice but can't seem to get full coverage on the trees.
Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.

Love me a nice slimline card and yours is super cute, Michelle! The bright colors are great!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I have this stamp and now you're making me want to try it to see what kind of results I get. IF I get some time. I know you wanted opaque white coverage but hey it still looks really good. The snow stencil helps make the blue on the tree look like snow. I would try VM stamping/white embossing on a plain piece of dark card stock - that will tell you if it's the stamp or the distress inks, sometimes they react when you don't want them to! XOX
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'll try that xx
DeleteWhat a fabulous Christmas card in non-traditional Christmas colors. I kind of like the birch trees as I feel that parts of your embossed trees are just a bit "weathered". Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers ~ Christmas Challenge.
