Underwear for Christmas?!

Well hellooooo! Today is a new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is Anything Cute and Christmas with Optional Ribbons & Bows.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge are our friends over at Crafty Ribbons!  Crafty Ribbons has an amazing selection and it's so much fun going through their collection of goodies!

I pulled out an old fave image of mine from Whimsie Doodles (so sad they are no longer) appropriately called "Underwear for Christmas".

I used Copic markers to color the undies and used my new Stitched Collage Frame Diecut to put the card all together.  It's the first time I used the diecut and have to admit it took me a while to play with it to figure out how I wanted to use it.  Now that I have the hang of it I've made quite a few cards with the template.

I hope my card gives you a chuckle!  Thanks for stopping in and I look forward to seeing your cute creations!

Gnome Hello

Creative Knockouts has a new challenge!  Our theme for this challenge is Heat or Dry Embossing.

I normally use my embossing folders however this time I decided to pull out the embossing powder ... packed in the far corners of my desk drawers. (Okay, truth be told - I got carried away with the background papers and assembling the card I forgot about embossing).

Our sponsor for this challenge is SheepSki Designs and they are generously donating 3 images to the winner!

This gnome image is Giant Mushroom.  I used my copic markers to color the image, following the colors in the background papers by Photo Play Paper "Tulla & Norbert" Collection.  The sentiment is heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope to see you creations linked up at Creative Knockouts Challenge!

Donuts

Hello! Creatalicious Challenge Time!  Our theme for this challenge is Pink and Purple!  What a combo!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Leslie Turner from Love 2 Scrap.  Leslie has a fab goodie bag for the winner, check it out here.

This image is my new fave stamp from Stamping Bella, Mochi Donut Girl.

I used Copic markers to color the image with purples and pinks and the sparkles with green to match the stripes on the paper.  The paper is from Erin  Bradley Designs on Etsy.  I loved, loved, loved coloring this image!  The sentiment is one that I've had for a long time and this is the first time I've used it, it's from Rubbernecker Stamps - I know the sentiment references cookies however I was going for the angle that cookies weren't doing the job so she decided on donuts instead (hee hee).

Our design team has some great pink and purple creations, make sure you check them out and leave them some love!

Reindeer Farts

It's Monthly Challenge time at Christmas Craft Creations!  Our theme this month is Use a Die Cut! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe, hopefully soon we can get back to a somewhat normal life.  In the meantime, time to craft!

This funny little image is Reindeer Farts from Whimsy Stamps.  Okay, I think the word fart is hilarious.  What can I say, I have a house full of stinky boys so of course I had to buy this image!

I colored the image with copic markers and used my circle die cut on the image then used the paper cutter to straighten one edge.  On the background paper, I used the next circle die cut up and ran it through my machine.  I added a metal snowflake and baker's twine to finish it off.

I hope you have as much fun with your image and die cuts as I did!  Make sure to hope over and check out the DT creations!

Fave Embellies at Creative Knockouts!

With all the embellie choices out there, sometimes it's hard to pick a fave.  I think I'd have to say adding sequins would be my go to embellie. There are so many colors, shapes and sizes, a nice variety for any card!  This is a great time to showcase your fave embellie by hopping over to Creative Knockouts to link up your creation!

Our fab sponsor for this challenge is Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. You think picking emellies is difficult, try picking an image from Dr. Digi, there are so many choices! I decided on Green Fingers and Thumbs for this challenge, it is Spring after all!

After coloring the image with Copic markers, I fussy cut the image and used pop-up dots to make her standout. I used a honeycomb embossing folder for the solid background paper, attached patterned layer and finished  off with a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  And of course, finishing element is sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your fave embellie!

Fave Color Combo Challenge

Who doesn't have a fave color combination when coloring images?  We all have that go-to combo and sometimes it's hard to branch out of ones comfort zone.  Well, over at Winter Wonderland we have a challenge for you!

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up!  For this challenge I used one of their beautiful images, Christmas Robins.

As you can see, my fave color combo for Christmas is green and pink.  I printed the image on white card stock then printed only the robin images on copic paper which I colored with my Copic markers.  I fussy cut the images and added pop-up dots on the back and placed them overtop of the images on the card stock.

I added some stickles on the letters and cut a pom-pom in half and added each half on the top of the hats.  And, finishing touches were glossy accents on the hats, paper piercing along the edge and buttons with matching baker's twine.

I hope you have as much fun as I did playing with the colors - I look forward to seeing your creations!
