Happy New Year

Time for January's ATG Challenge at Arty Divas!  To wish you all a Happy New Year, I created this card using TP Dudley, illustrated by Dustin Pike.  It's currently a freebie at Whimsy Stamps.  

For me, this image represents a clean slate, flush 2020 away and bring on 2021! 

I colored Dudley with Copic markers then used scissors to fussy cut the image.  The stamped border is from the Stitched Together (C1459) collection by Close to my Heart, Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink in the corner then sprayed pewter Sheer Spritz over the entire card.  After drying, I used pop dots on Dudley and stuck him to the card and added the sentiment from Merry Christmas collection by PhotoPlay.

For this challenge I decided to use Polar Bear Pals by MFT.  I came across this card by Ally who was late night creating.  I loved the design so decided to CASE it. After I added the sentiment banner I wished I would have used some sparkle spritz, guess that means I need to make more!

Christmas Tag

 Happy October!  With a new month comes a new challenge at Arty Divas and as always, our theme is Anything Goes.  Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Vectoria Designs.

For this challenge we were given printable Christmas tags to play with.  The tags are beautiful and easy to print.

I was trying to "think outside the box" on this one, I wanted to use the image as a background and this is what I came up with:

I created a round shaker tag by using circle die cuts and to keep with the vintage feel of the printouts I used Frayed Burlap Distress Inks to distress the outer circle.  I added the snowman and think I should have distressed him as well, next time!

Arty Divas Challenge

Good day everyone! Not only do I have news on a new challenge at Arty Divas, I'm super excited to announce that I am now a new member of their Design Team so make sure to check us out!

As always, the theme at Arty Divas is Anything Goes and our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is My Besties and they have generously donated a special prize for the winner.

I love this whimsical image and I wanted to keep it CAS.  I cropped the image at the crease of the card and I wish I didn't crop it and had the last flower hang over the back of the card. Guess I'll just have to make more!

I used Stampin' Up! markers to add a bit of color and the birthday sentiment was computer generated.  I added Wink of Stella to the tips and centre of the flowers.  This is the perfect image to use when you don't have a lot of time.
