Non-traditional Christmas Colors is our theme for our August challenge at Christmas Craft Creations! I love this theme, Christmas is no longer about red and green and it get's your creative juices flowing.
I purchased this stamp set, Favorite Cookie by Create a Smile last year and this is the first time I've used it and won't be my last.
I created the background using Distress Inks (sorry, can't remember to colors) then spritzed water overtop. To create the snowbank I used Hillside Border dies and added Stickles along the bank for some snow sparkle.
I colored the images with Copic markers and added a few accents with a white gel pen and added glossy accents to various parts. You will note that the glossy accents look different, well it bubbled with the heat gun - why use a heat gun you ask .... well it looked a bit bare so I decided to stamp snowflakes using Versamark and white embossing powder hence the need for the heat gun. Note to self - use glossy accents as the last, last step.
Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to CCC and check out the fabulous creations by our Design Team.
