Animal Magic Challenge

It's time to dig up those animal images for our Animal Magic challenge at Cards for Men!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Meljen's Designs, the winner will receive 4 images of their choice!

Meljen's Designs is a digital stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical, fun digital images inspired by her kids and family. The Meljen's Designs store officially launched on April 1 and it is steadily growing. The new store offers instant downloads, organized categories, and a search feature. We have new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Mondays and a monthly Guest Designer at the Meljen's Designs Blog. Please visit the store to find more of Melissa's wonderful images!

I chose Mummy Dog by Meljen's for my card.  I cut the spider border with my Silhouette then layered it with some cheesecloth, colored with Smooch spray and some black lace.  The papers are from Close to my Heart and the button is from Martha Stewart.

Make sure you stop by Cards for Men to check out the creations from our very talented Design Team!

You still have time!! We're at our half-way point for our Sports Challenge over at Tabitha's Designs.

Our Sponsor, Dude Time Doodles, is giving the winner a $10 gift certificate to their fab store!

To get your mojo movin', I created this second card using Football Youth digi by Dude Time Doodles.

The papers are from the Celebrate Collection by Authentique, the ribbon and buttons are from my stash and the pennants were created with my Silhouette Cameo. The digi ticket was something that I grabbed in my travels thru Blogland and unfortunately I don't know where I got it from.  I distressed the ticket with Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distressed Ink.

Now its your turn to get craftin!

We're back!  Cards for Men is reopened for business after our Summer break and we're raring to go!  Our challenge is "Going Digital".

"Going Digital" is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and the winner of this challenge will receive 3 digis of their choice!

"I'm Tracey Malnofski, the artist and owner of The Stamping Boutique. My team and I are very happy to sponsor 2 Sketches 4 You. My store has been open since September 2009.I am currently a stamp artist for UnityStampCo. and I've worked for InStyleStamps, Squigglefly, and TheDigiShack in the past. I'm a professional artist and an active member of the Artist' Guild in my community. I have quite a busy household with a husband, 3 teenagers, 5 mini-dachshunds and an Appaloosa mare. It's noisy, but I love them all. I'm truly blessed.

"The Stamping Boutique" is dedicated to quality products and original artwork. We not only provide wonderful digital images in our store, but also several lines of red rubber images. Our designers are chosen for their character and personality,as well as, their beautiful designs. We work hard to give you our very best. Thank you so much for having us as your sponsor this week."

I used "Back to School Chemistry Set" from The Stamping Boutique for my card.  I colored the digital image with my Copic markers and added some Glossy Accents to the liquid and goggle lens and distressed the edges with Soot Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from Potionmaster set by Kraftin' Kimmie and the layout is based on a sketch from Graphicat Sketches.

Make sure to drop by Cards for Men and check out the creations from our talented Design Team, we have a couple new additions to the team so stop in and say hi.  Don't forget to check out the fun designs by The Stamping Boutique too!

Altered Journal

I attended a Mixed Media Canvas Journal class at our local craft store, Creative Accents last week where we definitely got our inky on.

I have to admit I wasn't too sure about the project, quite frankly it looked hideous at the start.  The secret to this project is layers, layers, layers and with each layer comes more ink.  The Dylusions ink spray was a fave, the colors are so vibrant.

The canvas album is by Prima and there are different styles to choose from, the one I used  is the Script style.  Some of the embellies used are buttons, butterfly, pins, flowers, ribbon, pearls, paper clip, clothspin, key, gems, and so much more.

It's a bit difficult to see the sentiment so this is a close up of the canvas letters "True".

Sports Challenge @ Tabitha's Designs

It's challenge time over at Tabitha's Designs, get ready to get your "SPORTS" on!

We have a fab sponsor, one who is close to my heart, not just because they have amazingly funny and creative designs, my very first Design Team experience was with Dude Time Doodles.

If you haven't guessed, the challenge at Tabitha's this month is "Sports".  I was excited to use Football Youth digi by Dude Time Doodles for this card.

It's not just a wives tale, it's true that no matter how much paper we have, it's never enough.  When I saw this digi I ran out to our local store, Creative Accents and purchased this fab pad of 6 x 6 papers, Celebrate Collection by Authentique.  I created the pennants with my Silhouette Cameo (love my machine!), added some coordinating brads, buttons and ribbon from my stash. The digi ticket was something that I grabbed in my travels thru Blogland and unfortunately I don't know where I got it from.  I distressed the ticket with Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distressed Ink.

Now, you may think I was creative in distressing the pennants by peeling the top layer of paper off in sections but admittedly, no.  While I added tape to the back, the pennants flipped over and stuck to the sticky stuff and voila, distressed pennants!

Now back to our Sponsor ... Dude Time Doodles is giving the winner of this challenge a $10 gift certificate to their store, you won't be disappointed here folks!

Make sure you check out the wonderful creations from our very talented Design Team, that should get your Sporty MoJo going!  Have fun, I can hardly wait to see what you create!

Guest Designer at Love to Create

I'm thrilled to be a part of Love to Create Challenge as a Guest Designer for their Challenge #28!

Sparkle is the challenge theme this week and there are two incredible sponsors for this challenge, they are Sassy Studio Designs and Digi Darla Designs!

For my card I chose to work with Flower Fairy by Digi Darla.  I colored the image with Copic markers and for some sparkle I used glittery chipboard, added glitter stickles to the flourishes and flowers and of course added some rhinestones.  I also used my Spica Glitter pens to add a touch of glitter here and there.  To create the butterflies, I've been playing with my new Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die by Stampin' Up.  I don't get to create girly cards often so this was a treat, although somewhat out of my comfort zone!

Make sure you check out the amazing creations by the Love to Create Design Team!

Challenges:

That Craft Place - Things with Wings
Just Some Lines - Layer it Up
Sweet Stampin' - Things with Wings

For my card I used Polly's Pink Flower by Sassy Cheryl's.  I colored the image with Copic markers and used the sketch from Mojo Monday for my layout.  I added some flowers, rhinestones, buttons and butterflies to add more of a girly touch.  I also added Crackle Accents on the flower and Glossy Accents on the rest.  I also used my Spica Glitter pens to add a touch of sparkle.

Tee-rific Birthday

I've created a golf-themed birthday card using the Golf Trolley digi by Just Inklined.  To add some dimension I used some kraft colored crinkle paper (I have no idea the proper name for it!) and added a golf shoe charm from the Charm Barn.

The image is colored with Copic Markers and I used Frayed Burlap distress ink on the edges of the paper.

I used the sketch from Fetch A Sketch.

Tuesday Throwdown - Summertme
The ABC Challenge - S is for Surprise
