Have a Spooky Night

A new month brings a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges!

Our theme this month is PURPLE, BLACK, GREEN and ORANGE.  Show us your creativity using those four colors in your creation!

We are a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will play along for your chance to proudly display our Winner or Top 3 Badges.

This slimline card was created using Slim Line Have a Spooky Night Word Die by Picket Fence Studios. I started mixing Distress Oxide Inks (Villainous Potion and Spiced Marmalade) on mixed media paper then lined up the die cut and ran it thru my Big Shot machine.  I ran the die through the machine using black paper 3 more times then glued all the layers together.

I sprayed black cardstock with gold shimmer spray then scattered bat die-cuts overtop and ran thru the machine, I did the same with ghost die-cuts on vellum.

The background was created using Black Soot and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide spritzed with water.  When it was dry I gold shimmer spray and black acrylic paint spray overtop then set to work assembling the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Get Creative Challenges for some inspiration from our fabulous Design Team!

  3. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’š this!! What a fun and not-so-spooky card! I love the inky background & sentiment. The little vellum ghosts somehow remind me of Casper's brothers. ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ˜ Thank you for joining in the fun at Park Hopping My Happy Place. I look forward to seeing what you create next! ๐ŸŽข๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ’ŒCheers, Makira

  4. The ghosts die cuts made with vellum give them that ghostly look. Your background is beautiful and the bold raised sentiment is perfect for a landing place for your ghosts and bats. Love it all. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Park Hopping.
