I colored the image with Copic Markers and decided to leave him as CAS. I added some polka-dot paper to the bottom and stamped the sentiment in Versamark and used white embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the Big Holiday Wishes set by Simon Says  Stamp.

 Welcome to our new Sketch Challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls!   Our sponsor for this challenge is Digi Doodle Studios!

This image is Pumpkin Spice and I colored her with Copic markers in rich Autumn colors.  I used papers from my stash, Like Father like Son Collection by Fancy Pants Designs.  I put the layout together based on our sketch and added some leaves and a few pieces of sequins to finish it off.

Holiday Squirrel

Ready for a new challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges?  Our theme as always is Anything Goes with an optional twist of "Ribbon or Twine".

This image is Holiday Squirrel and I used Copics to color the image and distressed inks for the sky.  I added some Nuvo glitter drops to the hat and glossy accents on a few elements in the image.  The background papers are from the Really Rainbow Christmas collection by Lawn Fawn.  The card was looking a bit sparse so I pulled out my snowflake die-cuts and added a few along with the sentiment from Stampin Up!

Silent Snoozing

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is "Snow Much Fun".  We are getting closer to that time of year and this is the perfect challenge to make that Christmas card you've been putting off!

I love working with Dr. Digi images and for this challenge I chose to work with Snoozing Santa.

I used Copic markers to color the image and OOPS, I just realized I was going to add some Nuvo Glitter Drops to his hat!  The background papers are from the Celebrate Christmas Collection by Echo Park and Believe Paper Pad by Heidi Swapp.

The sentiment is by Lily of the Valley, Christmas Tag Sentiments.  I fussy cut around the tag, punched a hole at the top and added some black & white baker's twine.  I applied foam squares to the image and banners and left the sentiment tag flat on the background paper with regular adhesive.

Polar Hi

Fun Folds is the theme for our November challenge at Christmas Craft Creations! I love this theme because I get so used to creating rectangle or square cards that things can get stale - fun folds is a great way to get your creative juices flowing.  

During my many hours of Pinterest I came across a fun fold card by Queen B Creations.  Not only did I love the stamp set she used (will be a purchase of mine) I fell in love with her fun and easy fold and she her instructions are easy to follow.

For my rendition of Lisa's card, I used my Polar Bear Pals stamp set by MFT Stamps.  What I love about this fold is you get to use more than one image and using the polar bears, not much coloring is required which makes this a fast and easy creation.

I'm super excited about this card and I hope you have as much fun with the fold as I did.

Candy Canes

 This month at Winter Wonderland our challenge theme is Candy Canes an/or For a Child.  

Without a sponsor for this challenge, we are playing just for fun and I hope you join us - it will be another Christmas card for your stash!

This digital image is one I've had for a long time and unfortunately Fresh Brewed Designs is no longer in business.

I decided on making a slimline card so I sized the image a bit larger than I normally would. I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the image then started coloring with Copics.  After the coloring I added White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the hat and glossy accents on the frosting, candy canes and cookies. 

The background papers are from my stash so I'm not sure where it's from.  The sentiment is from the Snow Globe Sentiments collection by MFT.

Holiday Cheers

 A new month brings a new challenge at Christmas 24!  

Our theme this month is a color one - Green, Gold and Kraft.  Show us your creativity using those three colors in your creation!

While I was reorganizing my craft room I came across some wooden Christmas stamps and found this one that I had forgotten about.  It's called Holiday Cheers by The Uptown Design Company.  

I stamped the image onto Kraft cardstock and used Prismacolor pencils to color the image. It was looking pretty bare so I added some baker's twine, sequins and framed the Kraft cardstock with green and gold-toned cardstock.

Merry Little Christmas - Anything Goes (Nov)

A Bit Batty

 It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Anything Goes!

Our sponsor for this challenge is SheepSki Designs and Andrea has graciously offered 3 images to the lucky winner, thank you Andrea!

I chose to work with Bit Batty for this challenge since it's soooo close to Hallowe'en (my fave).  I used my Silhouette to print and cut the image and used Copic markers to color.  Next I created my background using the following Distress Oxide Inks, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Hickory Smoke, and Black Soot.  

After blending the inks I sprayed with water then let it dry.  The sentiment is an old one and really didn't stamp that clear, the letters kinda run together.  Anyhoo .. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark, sprinkled on the black embossing powder and went to work heat setting. After sticking the image on the card, my final step was spraying the card with  Frost sheer shimmer spray.

In the Pink at Christmas

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is IN THE PINK AT CHRISTMAS" and don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cutie, patootie image.

This image is Three Chilly Polar Bears by Di's Digi Stamps and I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the image then I colored it with Copic markers.  For the background I used Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar, Pickled Raspberry and Worn Lipstick.  Once the pink background was done I sprayed it with some water and let it dry.

The sentiment is from the Merry Messages collection by Lawn Fawn which I heat embossed in gold.  Next I used die-cuts to make the snow banks then added pop-up dots to the image.  Once assembled I spritzed the card with Frost sheer shimmer spray.
