It's challenge time over at Aud Sentiments and we're asking you to make a Birthday card. This challenge is sponsored by Glitterbabes and one lucky winner will receive two images of their choice!
For my Birthday card I chose Party Balloons. I realize that black and purple aren't exactly party colors but I thought it fitting for an "Over the Hill" card!
I used my Copics to color the image and applied Glossy Accents to the back balloons and glitter to the purple one. I was having some issues with the bow so I decided to color it purple and glossy accent it. The image has been cut out and fastened to the card using foam pop-ups. I added some black twine for the strings, flowers and a fabric border to the side.
Now it's your turn! Make sure you check out the talented Design Team's creations for some inspiration. You have until October 11th to create a card or project following the theme and link it up to Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.

New Release Blog Hop
To celebrate another creative spurt from our Designers, Dude Time Doodles is sponsoring a Blog Hop to introduce you to the new images they have created - yehaw!
If you’ve arrived here from Cleota, you’re on the right track. Although, there really is no wrong route, just keep hopping until you’ve seen all the wonderful creations from the FAB Dudette Design Team. Make sure you leave some love cause one of us is the MYSTERY HOSTESS! That’s right one lucky person will win one of the new images just for commenting!
For this blog hop, I chose Knock Out Nancy ... poor thing looks a bit rough but she’s a rough n’ tumble kinda gal and she can handle herself (you should see the other guy!). The sentiment is also from Dude Time Doodles. With all her bumps and bruises, I still wanted to make her girly so I used girly colors.
Now head on over to Ruth and check out her magnificent creation!

My Hero Inspiration
It's inspiration challenge time over at Dude Time Doodles and this month, our inspiration is "Who is your Hero". All you have to do is use the above photo inspiration to create a masculine themed card - you are not required to use BDD images although it would make us really happy if you did! Be sure to link your creation using Mr. Linky over at Dude Time Doodles.
This was an easy one for me as my hero is my dad. My dad was a mechanic who started his own business and worked out of our house. Our driveway was always filled with cars waiting to be fixed. His business grew and soon he moved into his own shop.
I remember working in the office and was afraid to touch anything because of all the greasy fingerprints - they were everywhere! So when I started to create this card, I HAD to add some "greasy" fingerprints to make this authentic!
The image I used is called "Under Carriage Craig" but I've renamed it for my project "Under Carriage Jim" (hee hee). The orangey/red paper is from Pixar Cars package by Creative Memories and the notepad paper is from the Boyfriend collection from Cosmo Cricket.
My dad was an amazing man. He worked hard every day but always had time for his family, he was funny, stubborn, strong, stable and I could talk to him about anything. I wish my dad was still with us so I could give him this card. I miss him terribly and think of him every day. I love you dad!

Challenge Time at Aud Sentiments
It's challenge time over at Aud Sentiments and we're asking you to make a Get Well card. This challenge is sponsored by Daisy Doodles and one lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Daisy's Digi Doodles!
For my get well card I chose the Apple Basket . As soon as I saw this digi, I couldn't help think of "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".
I used my Copics to color the image and a white gel pen on the tops of the apples. I decided to do a bit of stitching and for the final touches I added some fun polka dot ribbon and lotsa buttons. The get well sentiment is a rubber stamp from Hero Arts that I have had for ages and forgot about.
Now it's your turn! You have until September 27th to create a card or project following the theme and link it up to Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.
I will be entering this card in the following challenge:
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Di's Digi Designs - Anything Goes
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Add a bow
Bearly Mine - Button it up
Crafty Ribbons - Anything Goes
Some Odd Girl - Stitching

Guest Designer & FREEBIE Challenge
Spooookkkkyyyy .... it's freebie time at Dude Time Doodles !
Not only do you get to get Billy Bat for FREE you will also have a chance to become a Guest Designer for a month! Make your way over to DTD for all the details on how to enter and while you're there, make sure you check out the Dudette Design Team's spooookkkkyyyy creations.
As I do every year, I create some sort of treat bags for my son's class. I'm afraid this will soon be coming to an end as I'm not sure if I can get away with it when he hits Grade 5, boo hoo.
I thought Billy would be cool for Grade 4 so I colored him up with my Copics, applied glossy accents to his eyes, red gem for his necklace, attached some ribbon and found Dracula brads in my stash that works quite well! The bat paper is by Funky Hand.
Of course, the most important thing is the candy. I used small plastic ziploc type bags from the dollar store and filled them up with some goodies. I make sure to punch thru the top of the plastic bag before putting it all together then fasten it up with the brads.
You know, the sad thing is that the kids (well, mainly the boys) don't even pay attention to the wrapping, they just wanna get to the candy!
I will be entering this treat "bag" in the following challenges:
Pile it on - Layer It
Lollipop Crafts - Eyelets or Brads
Scrap-Creations - Unique Fold
Ribbon Carousel - Get punny
Fab 'n' Funky - Bingo (Digi, Ribbon, 3 Layers)

Teddy Bear Blog Hop & Candy
National Teddy Bear Day
Teddy bears are, of course, named after US President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt. The name came about after a 1902 hunting expedition. The hunt had found no game, so at the end of the day someone brought out a baby bear and suggested that Roosevelt might like to shoot it instead. Roosevelt understandably felt that this was not exactly sporting and refused. The incident was illustrated in a newspaper cartoon entitled "Drawing the Line" - which also referred to the political situation at the time. An enterprising New York toymaker saw an opportunity and brought out a cute stuffed bear named "Teddy's Bear". The rest, as the say, is history. (Taken from: http://www.festivology.com/topics/teddy.html)
To celebrate National Teddy Bear Day, Jen from Jen's Crafty Corner has graciously organized this fun blog hop showcasing, you guessed it ... Teddy Bears! So get your springy shoes on and start hoping.
If you've arrived here from Eva, you're on the right track. If not, check out the list below and start at the beginning!
For this blog hop I chose this teddy bear digi by Dustin Pike. I'm calling this card "Tub Time with Teddy". I used Winnie the Pooh papers from Creative Memories, added my fave Glossy Accents with some sparkles and to create the illusion of bubbles, I used White Perfect Puff by The Artful Stamper.
For some special touches I added ribbon by Pebbles Inc., rhinestones, flowers and a clear pebble with a Winnie the Pooh bee underneath. Ta dah!
Before you hop on over to Candice and check out her teddy creation, make sure you leave some love cause you never know if you'll be the winner of a $10 gift certificate from Dude Time Doodles! (The winner will be chosen by True Random Generator and will be selected Tuesday, September 13th).

DTD Sketch Challenge
It's time for another sketch challenge at Dude Time Doodles!
You will have until Tuesday, September 13th to flip, twist, and work the Sketch.
You are not required to use Bonibleaux Designs although it would make us really really happy and giggle a lot if you did!
MUST be a masculine themed card, you can use humor, innuendo, be a little naughty, sarcastic, but it has got to be for a DUDE!
Remember, you have one week to link your fabulous creation to Mr. Linky over at Dude Time Doodles Challenge Blog. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, September 13th.
Now, let me introduce you to Santi Beaches, he's not your typical Santi as you can see!
I used digi paper from Funky Hand and glossed him up with Glossy Accents and used white puff stuff for his beard and hat. I added glitter to both glossy accents and puff stuff. I also added a wooden toothpick to give the illusion of a sun umbrella.
For more inspiration, head on over to DTD and see what the Dudettes have created for you!
