These are the Days

I'm hoping this card will not jinx the good weather that is finally upon us!  I was asked to make a birthday card for someone who loves to snowboard.  I searched and searched for a snowboard image but the majority of them were young boys, this card is for an adult.  In my searches, I came upon this clipart and thought it would work quite well.

The image is colored with my copic markers and added glossy accents to the headband (yes, the color is actually red, not orange, really!), gloves and bindings.  After adding the tags I needed something for the top right of the card so I found my lone grey button and strung some bakers twine thru the holes.  The papers are from the Notes to Self Collection by Echo Park

Felt or Fabric Challenge

The challenge theme at ABC Christmas Challenge is "F" for "Felt or Fabric".  Time to pull out your material scraps and add them to your creations!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sweet Stamps and the lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate the their store!

I decided to play with this Mitten Template from the Silhouette and thought the left over
felt from my son's stocking would work quite well.  After cutting out the template with my Silhouette Cameo, I put it together using some felt snowflakes I had in my stash.  I have to say I love the way the card sits and think it's quite unique looking.  Will have to make more of these, they are quick and easy!

Make sure you check out the creations from our talented Design Team!

On an Easter roll

Not sure what's going on but I've been on a roll and have created a few Easter cards this weekend...maybe it's because I've been trying to forget the stairclimber that keeps calling my name but I'm too lazy to get my cardio over and done with today!

This is an image by Bugaboo stamps,  Hoppy Occasions - Easter.  I colored the image with my Copic Markers and added some stickles and glossy accents.  The sentiment is from the Easter Sentiments collection by Whimsie Doodles.  I used an embossing folder by Sizzix for the bottom of the card and the blue paper and the ribbon, etc. is from my stash.

Challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - Clean and Simple
Creative Moments - Add a Sentiment

This also is an image and sentiment by Bugaboo, Happy Easter to Ewe.  The papers are from the DeLovely collection by Cosmo Cricket.

Favorite Color Challenge at The Crafting Cafe

The theme for our March challenge at The Crafting Cafe is "Favorite Color".  For this challenge, I chose PINK

Our sponsor for this challenge is Delicious Doodles and the winner will win 4 digis from the very talented Teri!

I colored Steampunk Fairy by Delicious Doodles with my Copic markers and added a bit of sparkle with my Spica markers.  I made the tag some time ago at a craft class at our local shop, Creative Accents.  I was so excited when I pulled it out and saw it matched!

I did some searching through my craft stash and pulled out the stuff I thought would work on this tag.  This kind of work is completely out of my comfort zone ... I have a hard time with random but I have to say I'm quite excited out the outcome!

Now make sure you head over to The Crafting Cafe and check out the fab creations the Design Team has come up with so far then get creating!!

Eyes Down at ABC Christmas Challenge

It's time to keep your Eyes down for a game of Bingo!  That's right, our theme at ABC Christmas Challenge is to pick your bingo line and start creating!

We have two amazing sponsors, StampFairy and ShapeEZ!  Make sure you check them out!

Bingo:  Not a Square, Flowers, Glitter

For my creation, I  used the Flip Ornament template by ShapeEZ and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the shapes.  There are so many possibilities with this template, this is just one of many ideas.

I chose Mimi Winter from StampFairy to work with and I love how she turned out.

I colored her up with my Copic markers and added Glossy Accents to the heart and Stardust Stickles to the snow.  The paper is from the North Pole collection by Doodlebug Designs and the tag is from The Yellow Bicycle.

Now it's your turn, which line are you gonna choose?

"Stamp Fairy officially launched on November 5th 2010. Gerda Burghardt, artist and owner, creates cute and whimsical digital images for the young and old, inspired by her life, love and 4 cute cats. Just Chillin' at Cards for Men!

Yippee, March is here and to celebrate Cards for Men is hosting a Monochrome challenge.  You will have until March 17th to show us your stuff!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Digital Delights and the winner will receive a $5 gift certificate!

This darling image is Mr. Gnome.  I colored him up with my Copic Markers using all "E" colors.  I added some faux stitching on all the edges of the paper from the et cetera Collection by Bo Bunny.

The sentiment is computer generated and popped it in a flattened bottle cap and topped it with and acrylic cabochans both by Bottle Cap Inc.  I couldn't resist adding a Woody's bottlecap since it was a perfect color match!

Welcome to Digital Delights, a magical place filled with my little digi creations from all walks of life. We have a wide range of digital stamps which are delivered straight to your email 24/7!!
