One for the Boys

One can never have too many birthday cards in your stash! This cute image is from Bugaboo Stamps and I colored him up based on the inspiration challenge over at Birthday Sundaes and followed the sketch over at Card Positioning Systems.
I couldn't find a key in my goodies stash so I had to be a bit inventive. I crawled through our storage room, opened up our suitcases and found those flimsly luggage locks, taa dah, a key!
I will enter this card in the following challenges:
Catch the Bug Challenge "Heavy Metal" Challenge
Cards for Men "Use a Key" Challenge
Card Positioning System "Sketch"
Birthday Sundaes "Inspiration Challenge"
Totally Papercrafts "One for the Boys Challenge"

Blog Hop Time at Dude Time Doodles

It's the last Wednesday of the month which means it's time for Bonibleaux Designs to showcase their new releases via this awesome Blog Hop. If you’ve arrived here from Cleota’s blog, you’re in the right place!
Now, on to some introductions, this here dude is Jimmy Gymnastic. I hold Jimmy close to my heart as I used to be a gymnast in my high school days. Although the vault reminds me of the time when I forgot to move the spring board before sprinting down the lane ... when I hit the spring board I probably looked like a frog in heat ... it was not a pretty sight!
Okay, back to Jimmy :) This was my first try at a tri shutter card and I have to say it's not as scary as the instructions looked! I used some random papers from my stash and by chance they all coordinated, fancy that! To give it a sporty look, I used eyelets and baker's twine to resemble shoe laces and threw some buttons in for good measure. The sentiment "This is what awesome looks like" is from Ginger's House, she has some incredible sentiments, make sure you check them out.
Now you can hop along over to Ruth and admire her work.
Keep in mind the Blog Hop doesn’t have a start or finish so no matter where you hop, you’re on the right track.
Just keep hopping along and visit all us Dudettes, remember one of us is the MYSTERY HOSTESS so make sure to leave some love cause you could win one of the new images just for commenting – you don’t wanna miss out on that!

Inspiration Challenge @ DUDE TIME DOODLES

It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month so that means it's Inspiration Challenge time at Dude Time Doodles! Get your creative cap on and see what you can come up with using the photo inspiration below then head on over to Dude Time Doodles and enter for a chance to be named the Top Blog or on of the Top Three. Of course there's a prize for the winner too so what are you waiting for?!?!

My inspiration came from my "ginger" haired eight year old and of course, TimeOut Tim from Bonibleaux Designs fit the bill.
Considering Tim has a sling shot in his back pocket, I thought it fitting to add elastic bands for embellies on this card and well, the inside sentiment - what else could it say!

Now it's your turn! Head on over to Dude Time Doodles and see what our Dudettes have created - you won't be disappointed!

FREEBIE CHALLENGE at Dude Time Doodles

It's freebie time! Head on over to Dude Time Doodles to download crazy Rocco Soccer and his soccer ball. Not only do you get two freebies but if you use the image and link back to the blog, you will have a chance to become a Guest Designer for a month.
For all the details on how to enter, skip on over to Dude Time Doodles and while you're there, check out the Dudette Design Team for their creations.

I made this card for my little bro Roger. He has been playing soccer for close to 30 years (yikes he's old ... hmm, guess that's not saying much for me either). Unfortunately wear and tear has taken it's toll on his knees, poor ol' guy!
The sentiment is by our crazy Marlooney (although I did insert the star) ... quite fitting for the intense expression on his face!

Hats Off

I'm off to Vancouver BC this weekend to attend my Great-Auntie Olive's 90th Birthday party. She is one very incredible and inspiring lady. This is a woman who, in her 60's, attended the same aerobics class I did, dressed in spandex (it was the 80's so spandex was allowed) and looked better than anyone in that class! I don't get to see her as often as I would like so I am really looking forward to seeing her this weekend.

I made this card for her as back in the day, she loved wearing hats. I think it needs some pearls, I may add those before I leave.

The digi and the Hats Off sentiment are from CDAC , the front sentiment is from Ginger's House and the inside Happy Birthday sentiment is from Digi Doodle Shop. I am entering this card if the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #23, Square Cards
